Very interesting. I wonder if someone has made anything like this before. Nice job.

thanks! I think there is another Bitcoin RPG called BitFantasy, but its in 2D old school style RPG. They allow players to buy in game items with bitcoin and also trade bitcoins in the game i think...

Hey there, looks nice  Smiley

Yes there are some differences: Bit Fantasy is 2D and doesn't need plugins. You can buy items in game for bitcoin but only from other players, there are no microtransactions or pay to win, which is why the game is not free (it's not a gambling game either). It's like Baldurs gate crossed with minecraft, maybe Smiley We have a trial on now for people to see if they like it:

The idea sounds good , but try getting your topic moved.
Maybe to Project Development or Announcements.
This is not really offtopic.

Secondly , I'm really waiting for a public beta Cheesy
Any idea when this would be released ?

Thanks
Jambola2.

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

if you signup here: http://signup.coinrpg.com/, you will receive an invite via email to help play test the game soon! = )

I am hoping to fully release the game to the public by the end of this month if all testing, tweaking, and polishing goes smoothly.

Yeah, move it to Project development. You might get more suitable exposure.

actually i just emailed the admins hopefully someone can move it. I was not sure if this was something people considered to be part Project Development since I think most Bitcoin Projects are not Games, so to be safe I posted here. Ah well... hopefully an Admin will respond.

CoinRPG Beta Invite!

OK so we have finally reached our next milestone, which involved completing some optimization of CoinRPG to achieve a good balance between Graphic Quality and Performance! We are able to push about 60 FPS from CoinRPG, probably much more on higher-end systems. But lets move on to the exciting news...

We would like to invite you to Play CoinRPG Beta!

- Click the Circular Arrow Button on the Top Left of HUD to Disable / Enable Camera Follow
- Left Click on Monsters to Perform Basic Attack
- Walk over Loot Drops to Auto-Collect them.
- *Currently the Skills in the Action Bar Are Not Working

*WARNING, Please Read: you will discover many Bugs and Missing Features at the current development stage.
CoinRPG Beta Does Not Represent the Full Featured Complete Version of CoinRPG!

Below is a List of some Features that are currently enabled and working but may be buggy:

It looks like a great little game in isolation. But your attitude on page 1 of the thread to some people simply asking "what has it got to do with bitcoin?" is a tad over the top. Literally the first thing I thought of was that question.

Thanks for checking it out.  Regarding the question about bitcoin, maybe it wasn't the best reply to that question, but the way the first person asked was very rude in my opinion because it didn't really show that he even bothered to read the description of the game where I clearly explained what it has to do with bitcoin, and his reply after was very aggressive proving to me he was a troll. But I understand if you don't agree with how I handled it, we live and learn... ; )

Can you turn on the HP bar?
Its hard for me to fight monsters without it.

Can you also have level indicators on ourselves and the mobs so that we know which mobs we are capable of killing.
