Hi Everyone,

It's great to see all the new members of the DigiByte communtiy posting here.  Hopefully some of you will also consider entering this month's contest.  Thanks to all of you who entered the DigiByte Knights Challenge Contest for September.  We had some great DGB related memes, and we will notify the winner tomorrow, and make an announcement shortly after that.

We've also posted the October Challenge Contest here:  https://digibytegroup.com/project/challenge-contest-october-2015/

This month's contest is very simple and easy.  We have focused on the upcoming DigiSpeed Hardfork.  In order to be eligible for the contest, all you need to do is enter your info and answer the question about the block number for the DigiSpeed Hardfork.

I also want to personally thank and acknowledge all of the people who have donated funds for these monthly contests.  The biggest thanks go to Jumbley and to 24hralttrade.

If you have any questions about the contests, please feel free to PM either me or Jumbley.

All the Best,

Eric

Who is funding the digibyte these gamers are claiming, if the whole LoL community starts playing there won't be enough digibyte to go around unless people are feeling very charitable.

The rewards are just right if 10 000 people start playing for digibyte and if they making 10 000dgb a month each that is 10 million dgb that needs to be fronted for these rewards.
Increasing them would be a bad move.

If there isn't 10,000 players right now why not increase it?

I was averaging about 400-500 DGB per match with the original payout system. That's about 20 minutes of play time.

Convert that into dollars, that's around 1-2 cents each person was making per game.

That may not sound like alot, but when you multiply it by the number of people who signed up and were playing pretty regularly, it would add up really fast.

I'd like to know how much DGB they paid out for the first few weeks before they lowered the rewards. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a million.

That's alot of money being given out for free.

My current miner setup: Linux - Ubuntu 12.04, Two 1.3Mh/s Scrypt ASICs, Two Radeon HD 7850 GPU mining different algos (usually qubit or skein).
Click here for my DGB Address QR code.   DGB Address: D6ZLjbSWu2mse3EqtoSn93nFrJ85wPKBF5
I have the DGB Gaming Wallet on my Galaxy S6

On the first page at DigiByte homepage down at 'Latest DigiByte News' there are three old news from jan 2015 and oct 2014. That doesn't look very good, (new) people that visit the homepage might think the coin is inactive. A suggestion is that you put the news under 'DigiByte Timeline' from post #1 in this thread to the news on the webpage. That timeline/news from post #1 is great and it showing that DigiByte is under active development and that's important if you want people to buy/use a coin.

Thanks for pointing this out. We have several website updates planned for this upcoming week as well as the next DigiReport. Stay tuned. Cheers!
