I'm kind of surprised how well DGB has held it's value after the big pump. I was expecting it to drop much lower than it is currently trading at.
Color me surprised aswell. Fine for me though. Can't wait for DigiSpeed! DigiSpeed will be huge, no other altcoin can match Visas transactions per second. The question is: Can we really match it. If we can DigiByte would explode me reckons. Today, I asked Jared personally, are we in the ball park with matching Visa transaction capability with Digispeed and his answer was a resounding YES, he also said that testing was going extremely well so far, without issue were his exact words! The team are working hard to cover all the bases that need to be covered with the hard folk which will take place a couple of weeks after the release of the new wallet, in preparation for it. After this, further additional improvements are planned with soft folk upgrades spanning into next year before we will be able to fully appreciate the real capabilities. The future is indeed looking bright with DigiByte and I feel the word 'DigiByte' itself will become synonymous with what crypto ‘does’ because it looks very much like DigiByte is going do it all! Thanks for the update. Things are looking good for DigiByte.

Thanks for the link. Is it working already? I don't know what is the business plan behind it but I would suggest adding more brand products, there were some from Logitech, more would be better imho. Maybe some intangible products can be added too (gift cards, credits)? Officially, I don't think this site has been launched but I signed up and ordered off it without any problems whatsoever. I believe there are a few things to do with warehouse back end that need to be sorted still but this should all come together very soon. So, if you are in any great hurry to receive your purchase, I'd at least wait for the Official go ahead and nod from Jared!

Breakout coming imo: volume ready to move coupled with triangle/inverse H&S technically as head is lowest point though not perfect looking. Assuming we break up here but we'll see.

Bitcoin's price and getting said Altcoins at said amounts The more i think about it, i'm getting hit harder. When i started getting into the altcoin scene with all the buying and trading, i felt that it was really easy because buying 1 full BTC is easily affordable as long as it was <$500 and altcoins' prices were low too. And so, with 1 Bitcoin, just 1, i could easily buy 1000s, 100 000s or 1 000 000 of said altcoins after doing lots of research and tracking.
Now here is the thing. If say 1 BTC rises to more than $1000, $3000, $5000...it is also true that its harder to get said altcoins at said amounts, not forgetting that altcoin's have their own price too (even more ex if it goes up together with bitcoin's price).
so using DigiByte as an example: $250 = 1 BTC. I buy 1 BTC and buy Digibyte at 20 SAT = 5 million DGB $500 = 1 BTC. I buy 1 BTC and buy Digibyte at 50 SAT = 2 million DGB. BUT if i want 5 million DGB, i will need 2.5 BTC and it will cost me $1250.
See the big diff between $250 and $1250 with only 2 small changes in prices???
Even if i am able to convert FIAT > ALTCOIN directly and not FIAT > BITCOIN > ALTCOIN, it doesn't change the situation much as currently, all altcoins' prices are based on Bitcoin's price measured in Satoshi.
Thinking about the Year 2016 The year 2016 will be very happening and interesting if the world of cryptocurrency doesn't get obstructed, crushed and destroyed by whatever (including by itself). putting all that aside and thinking about 2016, be it start mid or end of 2016, just looking at the projects from said altcoins and various startups, we can expect more than half of them to enter Beta or Launch Phase.
I haven't factor in how bad events can help to boost Bitcoin/Altcoin. For e.g., global market crash. But just thinking from the developers point of view, about how they go about with their projects and scheduled datelines, and what will happen at certain stages like Beta and Launch Phase, also knowing that there are many other cryptocurrency projects that are in the works besides theirs, yea...that's the picture i am getting.
Conclusion Everyone, be glad you are in this early into the altcoin scene...or rather...the Digibyte Scene. those who just got in, you better speed up your research and act decisively fast. my advice is - before the end of 2015. You don't wanna get in when projects are done.
For those who were early...i advice doing some kind of "go-through-all-resources-and-notes" kind of thing. like tidy up here and there, what to backup, what to keep track of, change and record passwords, split up huge amounts in addresses into smaller amounts, etc. Just to reorganize and get more prepared. Whatever is obselete and gone or are no longer of any use, may want to just put it one side for future references. store them some where.

It seems like most of the mining pools supporting Scrypt on the OP are dead or non functioning. Can we get that list updated? It really doesn't look good when info on the OP is outdated or, incorrect. I'm sure there are more than 3 functioning Scrypt pools for DGB but, the list doesn't reflect that.
And, the link for the "Digihash Easy Miner" on the OP goes to a post where the download link brings back: "Not Found The requested URL "/sites/digibyte.co/files/DigiHashSetup.exe" was not found on this server." If it doesn't exist, how about removing the link? It may seem trivial to some of you but, I assure you, it all goes to professionalism. These forums are where most people land first, lets look good shall we?

The value will be what the market decides. That's the most accurate answer anyone can give you. I know and I understand what you mean since not sure how productive it would be to speculate on that, I was just curious to check his opinion based on his research.

The value will be what the market decides. That's the most accurate answer anyone can give you. I know and I understand what you mean since not sure how productive it would be to speculate on that, I was just curious to check his opinion based on his research. Referring to short term (1-3 months) price? When you say "DGB value", are you referring to its price? If yes: 1) it can move into the 150-300 SAT range (because its time to reap & harvest the fruits of development/labour) 2) it can move >300 SAT (because the Digibyte Team always surprise us with its developments) 3) it can move slowly further down to around 50-70 SAT (because of market manipulators and traders. Really. just own up. you guys just want in cheap because of BTC's rising price and you guys want millions of DGB ) 4) will it move below 50 SAT? HA!! expect all of us DIGIBYTERS to vacuum all your coins. i still need more to complete my Investment Portfolio. We need to know the situation that Digibyte is in right now (not yesterday or last week) and i got to say, Development is on fire compared to any other time on the Digibyte Timeline. on fire means = a lot is in the works, major developmental upgrades to its core features, nearing beta/launch phase for said features. hence the advice to speed up your research and take decisive actions before end 2015. Referring to long term price and worth?Easily above 1000 SAT in the long run (more than 6-12 months). Why? Firstly, its just simple logic from a business or investor's point of view. Look at Facebook - It's always growing. More features, more stuff, new things added, etc. same with Google and Microsoft and every other big names out there. stock prices are always rising because we see the fruits of development. there's always something to be seen, not to be speculated about. Development keeps the price above the floor and helps it to grow. It's just the basics. I will get back to this point soon. Now........ I have come across MANY altcoins that is purely pump and dump. way too many. there's like more than 700 damn altcoins out there. enough said. I have come across several altcoins that were popular but died somehow because of poor development and seriously no fruits to be seen after 1-3 years. I have come across some altcoins that is just about being a really good crypto coin. like its Proof of whatever, Faster than bitcoin, top-notch privacy, super secure, etc. boring. I have come across some altcoins that focuses on invading a certain Economy and Market - Gaming, Social Network, etc. Can be good if they are freaking good. really. I have come across a few altcoins that has HUGE ambitions like trying to be a platform of sorts. big deep stuff. Like Ethereum. but also very ex and price has risen a lot and requires a lot more time and energy to see the fruits. plans are promising but also has very high expectations. got to know your stuff well if you want to invest. Here is the thing that Digibyte does really really well compared to almost every other altcoins out there: Fruits of Development in BOTH the Virtual/Digital and Physical Space. Very little cryptocoins manage to come this far or even reach this level. Some don't even touch this level because its not part of their RoadMap. But Digibyte has been constantly whacking it time after time. This is easily seen in the year 2015. go research. i have yet to come across one exactly like Digibyte and there is no other that i can think of. the price is still low with a somewhat low presence globally speaking (im surprised) compared to Dogecoin, ETH, paycoin, DASH, litecoin, etc. That can be a great thing for us investors. Digibyte really focuses on a few stuff that matters the most and how those few stuff can benefit Digibyte the most. I'm not gonna explain or go into details. do your research. it will be well worth your time. i'm not gonna convince you. you convince yourself. There are altcoins that are so much more funded (>$1million), yet i don't see them developing as fast as Digibyte, as much as Digibyte. But why is it not more funded as it should be? Because Digibyte likes to be discreet. Its kinda like the 21 Inc of altcoins. hence the saying " Digibyte always over-delivers" if you have come across. When development speaks for itself, speculators silence themselves

Yes awesome research and attention to detail on all important points. I strongly agree with his view because it is optimistic of course but also very realistic in the same way, there may be some bumps in the road.

Re-sync the wallet, should find options in top RHS corner.
