Getting listed isnt always a good thing, Take a look on the UTC thread at the moment
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=413978.9040

Love that UTC/300 image!!

The thing those people aren't seeing is that since a little over 30 hours ago the UTC price was 9000 Satoshi.  It hits Cryptsy and bumps to 48500 Satoshi which is a 538% gain.  Of course it dips after the dump, but current price is still 2800 Satoshi which is still a 300% gain from the other day before people starting buying up after seeing the Cryptsy voting poll.

Hitting Cryptsy will gain us a lot of new investors.  There will be a lot of dumping and also a lot of new buying after the drop, bringing a lot more people into the game.

Message to all p2pool Operators:

To all those operating a DigiByte p2pool,

The p2pool network has gotten very fragmented with FOUR different types of P2Pools, i.e. P2Pools using dgb v1.0, dgb v2.0 with old networks.py sub_func, dgb 2.0 w/o updated networks.py, dgb 2.0 w/o dedicated SUB Func,... and what not.

Huge thanks to HollowStorm! We are up and running on the correct network.

Yes, we are now seeing a new Cryptsy Phenomenon with their voting system. All those coins prices rose in anticipation of getting listed and now look at their price. At most Cryptsy would have given us a 2-3 day short term boost in price. A consistent commitment to Development is the key to success here.

Very well put, I think people need to realise getting listed on Cryptsy is not the be all end all.
One area I think we need push is Social Media

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/digibytecoin
Twitter: https://twitter.com/DigiByteCoin

All I can say after almost 2 months of DGB - DigiByte has one most important part in this stage of coin - dedicated developers that have been supporting this coin from the day 1, and through all bumps and dumps of price. Community is not large, but biggest part of it are also dedicated members - I would rather have 100 decent and intelligent people than 10000 members that jump from coin to coin and will abandon it after the price falls few satoshies.

Big up devs and supporters - keep up the good work!

And my second point is exactly this, The development and support team are VERY active and I personally find this more re-assuring than throwing BTC at a voting system.
Think about it... Yes Digibyte could have sold some of the premine used this to vote (aka bribe) this coin to be listed, Let the demand/volume increase and therefore price and then cash out.

Did they?.. No. (Dont get me wrong there could be other reasons)

I understand the Crypto scene does quite often fall victim to scams and people trying to take what isn't theirs (Its happened to me numerous times) but I don't believe it needs to be surrounded by negativity other Crypto will never well and truly take off

BREAKING NEWS:

Our investment firm called up Crypsty's office and spoke to their staff and reached out to Vern. After a few hours, Vern responded with the following email. We talked about how the DGB developer will be speaking at NY and we want to make a long term relationship. DGB is a solid coin and apparently Cryptsy is going to be there at the convention as well.

Quoting Paul Vernon <xxxx@cryptsy.com>:

> Hey XXXX,
>
> We generally add coins quite often, so get the word out so more people
> can vote.  It's likely this coin will be added next week
>
>
> Paul

This is no guarantee, but we as a community need to be different. We picked up the phone and called them. Could be huge news for all of us. Let's keep pushing.

May be worth emailing Paul and thanking him for responding to us.

Kind Regards,
YC

I would recommend calling them NOW and thanking them. Tell them you look forward for the coin to be added next week and building a long term relationship in NY. Post this on social media channels. Get the word out.

We can all debate about whether Cryptsy is bad or good, but it will give us more exposure!

I just gave Cryptsy a call to introduce myself as well as thanking them for responding to YC. I also thanked them for all the hard work they have done to help crypto technology grow.

I told them I and the rest of the DigiByte team were looking forward to meeting them in New York as well as starting a professional relationship long into the future. Hopefully this is the start of something great!

Thank you YC for taking the initiative on this!

Jared,
Perfect. This is what we need to continue doing. I think it will be important to connect with them and also other vendors in PERSON in NY to make sure continue to grow. There are only so many things we can do over the internet.

Kind Regards,
YC

I already updated it ( http://p2pool.moonishere.com:9022 ), he posted this on reddit.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Digibyte/comments/1zseip/p2pool_message_to_all_my_fellow_p2pool_operators/

I'm running on those configurations, it's working fine.

I'm really impressed by the dev support!
Is the Roadmap released yet?
Also, is there an official paper wallet yet? I want to spread the word about DGB by giving all my family and friends a paper wallet.
