Is there any price update regarding the release of Gridseed miners? Price should be adjusted by /5 IMHO.
if you buy 10+, you end up paying ~$50 a piece as of now. this is for USB-2

Where can I download the new version of the GUI miner for Windows mentioned in the "Major Update" section of the mining tutorial on the support site? In the downloads section there only seems to be the old V1.0.0.6-0 while in the tutorial it says there is an updated V1.0.1.4-0.

OK, it seems that in Window and with the orico I can only get three of these to run now with stability.
getting a pi with wheezy, so we'll see how it works then. if not, i will be selling these miners at a loss (I'm at my wits end and also moving into a new house...), so if you want cheap miners, let me know.

You will probably have better luck with a Raspberry Pi. I've got 29 units running on a single Pi. I do have a problem with one of them, and am working through that with DM support. But the rest are working great and my rig has been super reliable. Also, in case you didn't notice, it's absolutely critical that you position your DMs in the right ports in the Orico hub. You can only have 9 per hub, and you have to avoid plugging a miner into the slot next to the power button. The reason is that an Orico hub is actually two hubs under the hood, with different power characteristics. Probably not a problem if you only have 3, but in case it's relevant, make sure you avoid that slot by the power button. Ignoring that caused me stability problems early on. If you decide you want out and want to sell your DMs, send me a PM. I'll probably take them off your hands if it's cheap enough...

I'm about to have 37 total units, I guess I have one spare with 4 hubs....is it ok to put a usb fan on the port by the power button? Holding off selling until I get the pis. Thanks so much for the feedback. Truly appreciated everyone

It might not be a problem. But when I was debugging my rig, I moved my USB fans to this cheap, switchable hub, isolated from the miners: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BWF5U0M/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1I have no idea if this helped or not. But for $7 it was worth it just to be able to turn my USB fans on and off as needed. With my current rig, all of my DMs are on Oricos, laid out as per CruzCoins diagram (avoiding the USB plug by the power switch), and both of my fans (ARCTIC Breeze Mobiles) are on the cheap Sabrent switchable hub, with no cross connection to the DM units or the Pi. This is working for me. Except for the one new DM, which I think might be marginal. As I said, I'm talking with DM support about that unit.

I am using a big-ass fan (12v 0.4A) to cool them down, using the same PSU that is 5v X30a. I kept a few ports unused for convenience if sometimes i have to remove a USB out, it's easier to handle. One of my USBs is giving problems. Is there a way to get a replacement?

So here is a general question to ask before I attempt this. I have a desktop running 5 Graphics and another running my dualminers. Do you think its possible to run dual miners on a desktop with CGMiner or will the two processes conflict? I am using the dualminer interface. I am just wondering if anybody has a setup like this. Thanks.

@likeBTC i didn´t figure out if this would work, i have currently 2 pi in use, one for the Dualminer and one for Antminers. They are easy to control and not expensive to buy.
best regards

One one machine I'm running 4 dual miners running cgminer without the dualminer gui crap, a gridseed running cpuminer, and a few random BTC ASICS running bfgminer without a problem. You can definitely run different programs over each other like this with no problem.

I think I saw it somewhere, but do you have a link to how to do that? I guess we need to use their version of cgminer s/w. I need to start doing that.

You can use MultiMiner with the DualMiner BFGMiner release. They work great and can run all of your gear at once if needed. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=248173.2140I'm running 4 dual miners running cgminer without the dualminer gui crap

LOL! I wish I knew that "glod" was a choice! When I got mine, I asked for blue. They nicely told me that they only had black. When I bought some more I asked for black, for consistency. They nicely told me that they only had blue. So now I'm black and blue Actually it's nice to get different colors for different orders. Makes them easier to tell apart in case there are problems. Got my 'glod miners' today! pics tomorrow.

I installed the software from their site then used the cgminer that is in the software directory and wrote my own batch file. You have to probably run their software to see what com ports your miners are sitting on. It is pretty fancy.. I can run one on one port doing doge, one on another port running FTC, then run a batch file that has all of the miners last and it will only grab the other two I have since the other two are taken. Can provide the batch command if needed, it wasn't too hard though and would vary per which com port (ex .//COM45)
