There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. Server-assisted clients like blockchain.info rely on centralized servers to do their network verification for them. Although the server can't steal the client's bitcoins directly, it can easily execute double-spending-style attacks against the client.

Launch plan updated to ensure that Linux users are allowed to Solo Mine too, before pools join in at launch tomorrow.

okw one good question here : what i see is dicrimination :

[ 1  ]  this :  to ensure that Linux users are allowed to Solo Mine too, before pools join ?

[ 2 ]  bounty for pools with a stratum delay of 10 minutes after launch ?

please explane this it looks not fair ....................launch is launch for all at the same time !

Damned if you do, damned if you don't...  Huh there are a whole Army of miners out there who will not mine in a Pool... lots of Linux users who would scream that they are being penalized... so before the giant rush of hash (hey, that rhymed, kinda?) hops on, all solo miners will have an opportunity to pocket some USDE's, regardless of their computer platform.

Appears like a bit of an overreaction and a language barrier, maybe? Please lookup the definition for this term, first. Cheers

Another Coingen Clone?
Please… don’t. That’s just reckless! We are backed by real, experienced developers who compiled everything by hand & tested both the Windows Wallet & the blockchain extensively. We will devote 100% of our resources to a stable launch and post-launch support.
...
Awesome. I also know a guy who can compile, assemble and link an executable all by hand. As a proof that it was stable, he could even run the opcodes in his mind!

That is sure better than all these inexperienced developers recklessly using compilers these days  Grin

Thank you for your feedback and spotting this, m8! Poorly phrased. Fixed now, but yeah, DrRazi had to use his hands TO compile [edit] 'start the compiler', no? Smiley

I'm in on this one Smiley

Thanks...  quick question though: I'd like to welcome your and others' feedback on the logo.  Do you think it should be re-done, and if so, why?  Just want to gauge people's opinion on its design and if we should consider putting a bounty up for a re-design?

btw < than 24hrs left now... excited!

 Grin
