and do you need some supercomputer or super graphic card or can it be mined by normal notebook?

quark ?XPM?
new algo
5 rounds of hashing  functions (luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo).

The implementation of these functions and the source code will be interesting.

These algos. are all round two candidates from the SHA-3 comp.

Luffa - http://www.sdl.hitachi.co.jp/crypto/luffa/ > http://www.hitachi.com/rd/yrl/crypto/luffa/

CubeHash - http://cubehash.cr.yp.to/

SHAvite-3 - http://www.cs.technion.ac.il/~orrd/SHAvite-3/

SIMD - http://www.cs.technion.ac.il/~orrd/SHAvite-3/

ECHO - http://crypto.rd.francetelecom.com/echo/

The majority of these functions are comparatively fast with good compression, AES compatability and security against cryptanalysis.

All being present and correct this could quite possibly be the technical alt. coin of this year ?

Do some of these functions perhaps lend themselves quite well to hybrid CPU / ASIC hashing in the future ?

...

It would of been good to call them Cubits after the hashing function, although I think most will hopefully be able to differenciate between Qubitcoin (Qubit) and Cubits ... !?!

Perhaps quite the opposite infact as these algos. are very efficient in the main.

Although, as with any crypto-currency you can still be out hashed by more powerful tech., CPU farms and botnets etc.

Submission for logo bounty, suggestions for font would be nice. I think a bunch of the coin logos that come out seem a bit to cheesy/lame so I went with something pretty simple/functional and recognizable and something that scales up / down easily. In my opinion it is much better for marketing.

standalone cpuminer is in alpha test ... its will be released to help pools owners to support this coin .. i think miner will need more optimization .. and I think we should not rush after the source will be available and you will be able to draw conclusions about this crypto-currency can talk about further development))

Hey guys,

First pool is allowing registrations ready for tonight!

http://qbt.united-miners.com - has the usual pool features:

Stratum with VARDIFF - adjusts automatically to your hashing speed for optimal results
1 % FEE - small fee to ensure pool stays alive - we have very extensive hardware to ensure no downtime Smiley
Idle Worker Notifications - you will be mailed when a worker goes idle
Fancy mobile site - access the site easily via your IPhone/Android
SSL protected - adding today.
DDoS Protected

We have significant hashrate on CoinyeCoin so far, and are expanding outwards  Smiley

Any questions please ask.
