They come with pci-e connectors on the board so no need for them.

wait what?  I thought these had screw terminals for power?  I recall someone posting pics.

Which one is true ?
I need to prepare power supply before miner arrive.
So it can mine immediatly when arrive.

The later units come with both screw terminals and pcie sockets.   I noted on one of mine the screw terminals were black for negative and yellow for +12v to match the pcie wiring convention.  Other units are black negative and red +12v

For those asking about tracking numbers... MyUPS tells me that mine are coming in on Thursday(U.S. West coast),  and were shipped t 01/21/2014    10:41 P.M.  My status still says unshipped on Bitmain's website.  Hope that helps you plan.

Folks, elasticband does not talk about unit delivery and delay. Look few pages back about packet of 500 u1 unit were stuck at china customs office and ups reqired vat number.

I am talking about lack of communication resulting it delays, the whole VAT situation could have been dealt with if tracking was handed out in a timely fashion.  Miss-communications and constantly getting told it was being dealt by one person then when i speak to another i get a totally different story.

I have been told UPS have contacted me and i did not tell them to release the package and this is why it is still on hold. At no point until yesterday have i spoke to UPS or have they tried to contact me as i was told it was getting dealt with on the china side.

When i spoke to UPS today they say the complete opposite of what Bitmain tells me, they say it is the senders obligation to have the package returned. I can only reject the package upon the receiving and as i have not received i cannot reject, even the racking has updated twice saying they have contacted the sender. Nothing about receiver.

UPS tracking has updated to "Clearance in Progress" so hopefully.

I was going to buy from bitmain/sushi. But after seeing how they handle problems with respected members of the community I changed my mind.

I think if you are buying one or two S1's you will be fine, but if you buy in bulk then make sure everything is sorted out with customs beforehand.

elasticband is noisy (understandably) but I don't think there is that big of a problem. Most of the time S1's get shipped out within a few working days of ordering without issue, the only general communication issue is with delivery tracking details being sent out sporadically.

Correct i am noisy because i don't like being ignored or having threats made of only paying 21btc or nothing back if i post publicly regarding this, until the refund is issued i don't trust bitmain based on these threats.

I also don't appreciate them shifting the blame, telling me i am being dishonest or having no accountability for their lack of communication causing delays.

My experience of seeking compensation for loss of earnings due to them sending a faulty S1 unit was not that great either, i guess i should be grateful  the control board was replaced.

Yes because in the event of refund you will have hard time proving bitmain that the address belongs to you because you cant sign it unlike bitcoin client..

EDIT: Actually the website noted that my package was shipped, the tracking number came by email directly and when logged in my account and viewd my order my tracking number was there as well.
Don't worry you will get your package.

I checked the tracking number with UPS and it says delivery will be during the day on Friday 24th. I'm in the UK.

just after 17:00
i sent payment within the hour and it was confirmed but i still have not got my tracking ref yet
i hope i will get it today / tomorrow. (tracking no)
