ordered 1 S1s on 1/15/2014, second on 1/18/2014. both arrived today. one has 1 Xed chip. second has 2 Xed chips.
neither is reaching 180. emailed bitmain. waiting for a response.
Most of he time you get xs is when they are not getting enough power So make sure your power supplies are good Just to test try powering the main blade only, that's the one with the small circuit board where the network cable goes in Of you full os, then it's probably a power issue An x doesn't mean the chip is bad I've gotten a lot of xs on various different chips Most times the hashing is steady around 180 Even though a few chips have xs reboots don't fix it, Unplug it from power for 30 seconds and power it up again Also if you cool them too much you get xs Ideally 47-48c is perfect What this guy says. Of my 100+, I have yet to have one with even one bad chip, so 2 in a row with problems makes me think PSU PSU is good. LEPA G1200 Xed chips are on system board. Canary - I respect you greatly as a longtime leader in the group buys, but I have ten of these things, and bobsag3 has over 100 and long term we don't see this issue unless its power supply related. First off the LEPA you list has 4 rails. Do you know how the rails are split? Have you tried a multimeter to make sure the power is good? Running both ants off one a single rail off that PS would exhibit this behavior. I had a buddy with a coolermaster and he had all sorts of issues with clocks and stability and we found out that was only giving him 11.1V on the 12V rail! Generally I see either all O or X on my ANTs, most have been up >2weeks. The one I do have an occasional issue with does show random X and O spread across the chips and will drop 10GH or so but a reboot or two fixes it. I plan on swapping the power supply if I see that again...

Does not say much about your faith in that product if you are over here buying ants. Just sayin'

Some earlier firmwares had a bug where they would incorrectly report one or more bad chips. https://github.com/AntMiner/AntGen1/tree/master/firmware

Thought I would provide my own experience for others to reference. 1st time antminer S1 buyer Ordered: 1-15-2013 Received 1-20-2013 (Dallas, TX) Nothing import related to pay Well packed with foam padding completely surrounding the S1 I'll provide further technical related experiences on the support thread but overall I'm VERY happy. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=344970.0On a side note I ordered a power supply the same day and it's still in transit out of California. Had to run to the local Micro Center and buy a supply.

Can anyone confirm if the shipping is included in the 1.9 btc price? Definitely seems to be. And I'm not sure what company would be used?
Glad to see there is so much excitement re: the 180 GH/s Antminer! I was trying to source one from China and finding there was a lot of price gouging. 1.9 btc is quite reasonable.

shipping is included in the 1.90btc price. My previous Ant came via UPS from China... You can over clock it to 200GH/s+ if you don't mind losing the warranty.

PSU is good. LEPA G1200 Xed chips are on system board.
I understand where you are seeing your xs I own 3 of them with a 4th on the way Try powering them off, wait 30 seconds, and power them on again If that doesn't work, and the xs stay in the same exact spot Try to only power the main blade, that has the small circuit boards plugged into it And see if the xs remain in the same exact spot Randomly when I reboot them I see some random xs If I keep clicking miner status, the xs to away as the unit heats up If you read the setup link, it did say the unit sometimes shows xs but there is nothing wrong Of no matter what you do (after you only power one blade) the x is always there In the same exact spot, THEN you might have a problem

My order id is 00120140121040655811qK2TpCEM0671
Please ship via EMS, it has the least problems with clearing customs.

Whoever said these antminers use 500w @ 400mhz has got to be smoking shit and laying it out to rot.... I don tknow about the exact "400mhz" ... but at 393mhz my unit uses only 394w at the wall on a 80+ GOLD PSU - Rosewill Capstone 750W
These miners are pretty close to 1w / mhz w/ a good PSU... Im damn impressed!
Im gettin a plat PSU tomorrow and a 700w dell server PSU in coming days... will wire up both and try n give more effeciency reports =)
