Yeah, username is what you put in the config. Remember, solo mining is always directly tied to that config file.

Thanks! I appreciate the info! So since it is tied to the config, I assume it is tied to the wallet to compensate me once I find blocks since my payment address isn't in the BAT file?

I never actually found a block solo mining, but you have to keep your wallet open when solo mining as it mines directly into it. I think it just uses the default address. (The transactions will be shown as "mined" rather than "received")

I just joined that pool to start mining and since it doesn't send email confirmations it wont allow me to edit my payment details.

2 hits on virus total. Anyone have any issues? I assume they are false positives, like normal.

It has all kinds of problems, assuming this is their first attempt at running a pool. First the email confirmations didn't work, so he disabled them. Now that we can't confirm emails we can't edit account to add a payment address. Now I continue to get this when I visit the dashboard: Notice: Use of undefined constant disable - assumed 'disable' in /var/www/COINO/public/include/config/global.inc.php on line 123 :/

At least the launch was not a fail like others coins these last weeks. It's a pity owners of some pools are not able to offer a good pool to miners.

Here is what I do to mine solo new coins... 1. Take previous conf file I used, change the port number accordingly, change addnode statements... 2. Run wallet with -server parameter 3. Point cgminer to wallet daemon. I keep user and pass settings from previous config file, only change the port number. Like below simply, of course you should add whatever options you throw when mining in it cgminer --scrypt -o http://localhost:14444 -u user -p pass --queue 0 -s 1
For low diff with blocks every 5-10 seconds I learned that I should change cgminer setting scantime to a low value and queue to 0 (Don't know how the latter affects the business though) ps: two solo block in 3 hours... I wonder how much total network hashrate now...
