aarrrgh i dont understand what is going on, thousands of coins are missing and there is no transaction showing what happened

maybe someone here infinitely smarter than me can think up what this could be ? im stumped.

1. compiled the wallet on monday 27th
2. mined 7000 kh/s @ minebig for days
3. got about 6,000 CASH after a few days, in our wallet. confirmed, confirmations, everything happy.
   : these were sent to our wallet as they were mined, so every hour it was climbing... for days.
(edit) 3.5:opened an openex account and sent 100cash just as a test, it arrived in openex and i withdrew it back to my wallet and it came back. success or so i thought.
4. looked at balance yesterday (day after doing an in/out with openex) and it was suddenly under 600 !!
5. did a "cashd listtransactions" (shows last 10 only) and there is no outgoing transactions.
6. did a "cashd listtransactions 100000" (to show ALL transactions) and there is nothing being sent!
   : so they are not stolen, or atleast in my understanding of 'stolen'.
7. wrote a script to take the json from that and 'add it up' myself, and it only adds up to the 600 balance! wtf ... (with no negative numbers !)


how could the wallet have thousands in it, deposited over a period of days from minebig, then suddenly drop back to a lowly 600 for  no apparent reason ?

so i took a copy of the wallet.dat, recompiled from source (fresh download), resynced with the network, and still only 600.

really not understanding why/what/how ... weird weird weird.

does that mean i got 'forked' or is that just 'f..ked' lol

even MORE bizare, now things get really weird;

- i login to minebig, where i mined the 6,000 or so cash's and 'view transactions'.
- it shows the sum of all credits (coined mined?) at under 600 !!! that was in the thousands previously.

so its not my wallet, it seems the whole world agreed i was just dreaming that and there is not even any evidence on minebig that i got 6000 coins...

how the hell can that happen ? i had them in my wallet! as real as they can be... now they are not even listed in the transaction history of the minebig account.

i had no idea that could happen, i thought once they are mine they are mine, right ? and whats with minebig trnasaction history showing only 600 of them when they had sent me thousands over the past days.

maybe this is 'forking' ? is that what a fork would do ?

There is no problem known, I got all my coins as everyone else part from 1 person.

Saltybrains, I would try to download the wallet on another computer and move the wallet.dat there and see if it helps ( did help me with many strange things regarding wallets not syncing etc) just take a backup before you do anything.

it seems these wallets have '100 addresses' in an internal pool before generating some new stuff which (if it goes badly) can render your old stuff gone/disappeared.
this kind of makes sense since i had minebig set to a low payout threshhold (so would have easy chewed up 100 transactions)
also makes sense cause it occured exactly when i transacted with openex

so, i have done a Dumpprivkey using the coin address i started receiving to in the first place.

now all i need is the cashcoin equivilent of "then imported this key to a blockchain.info wallet" ...

any ideas anyone how to go from a "Dumpprivkey" to a fresh wallet using that key ?

my wallet is not encrypted and i wont encrypt it until i solve this (i feel like that would make matters worse).

i have 15 x 7970's going full bull, over the days i was pointing between 4,000 and 8,000 kh/s at cash.minebig depending on my mood (i like to mine multiple things at once). maybe difficulty has changed recently ? or however it worked out, it definitely paid me those coins! why would i make that up. while i dont claim to know 'a lot' im definitely not a newbie, i have been mining for 3 months and have never had this happen to me ... its not like i could have misread the amount either because it was climbing by the hour for days!

Iv been all over the explorer too but cant really gleam any useful info from it, never really had to dig this deep before over anything. Really would appreciate the Dev (or someone that knows how this stuff really works!) having a closer look, maybe i'm doing something stupid, like perhaps the old ID 10 T error.
