Is price of the altcoin is based on price of the bitcoin?I have noticed the price of bitcoin falling down for past few days on same the price of altcoins are also falling down
You can see that over the last few years altcoin prices are on a bitcoin basis, bitcoin prices are rising and bitcoin prices are down, altcoin prices are down. It can be seen that bitcoin prices are in the down cycle in the long term and this will cause altcoin to keep falling very deep in the coming time so you need to be careful when trading altcoin. |

I think that is not always the case, because there is altcoin that rises when bitcoin falls, most people always connect altcoin with bitcoin, but i think it has nothing to do. |

Totally true. Bitcoin is the pioneer of all cryptocurrencies so there's no doubt that most of these altcoins we have, its pricing depends on the first and legitimate cryptocurrency which is bitcoin.

One of the principal reasons why Altcoin and Bitcoin charges are intrinsically tied is because in most exchanges, the most famous trading pairs are of the shape altcoin/bitcoin. During most of the cryptocurrency trades, you purchase/promote altcoin using bitcoin and vice versa. Bitcoin is essentially the USD of cryptocurrency. when USD falls or rises, every currency takes successful in some way. Its some thing comparable with Bitcoin. |

Nowadays, often we have noticed the thing is changing. Sometime some alts rise quite high even when BTC falls. I agree with many who wrote, "it will change". Things are already changing and as months are passing by people will more understand the system and things will gradually become better. Traders I guess just fear the fall of BTC and it frightens them to sell off their alts as well. This are changing, being in various trading groups I see people re changing. They trade in altcoins more when BTC is falling.
Yeah, things are gradually beginning to change and things would even change better when we start seeing some coins and tokens with prospect having real life usage as this would make it easy for them to be able to get their own demand and support to bring about its increase in value. Till now we know the market is more driven by speculation which is why it is so easy to see the market react quickly to bitcoin movement but nothing in this life will ever remain the same, most especially as it gets more matured. |

But to me now the trend is changing. Now we can see that even if the bitcoin price is decreasing there are some potentially good altcoin whose price is continue to increase, i think now when people realize that the market is taking some correction then they change divert their investment from bitcoin to some other altcoin which they consider as good for investment. |

Only if you look at it in USD value not in Crypto ,
If the value of Bitcoin in Fiat drops down then the value of alt-coin in Fiat would also drops down,
We could see some alt-coin that is gaining some increase but if you look at it in USD the price would still be the same or the price drops down because Bitcoin value in USD drops down.

Not completely but altcoins needs it to be a bridge so traders and investors can buy it and because bitcoin is going cheaper when they use it to buy altcoins, the demands decrease that leads also to the decrease of the prices of altcoins.

It is expected, most altcoins trade against bitcoin so a significant dip in the price of bitcoin is surely gpin to affect the altcoin market given that most traders have to buy bitcoin in order to get their hands on altcoins.

i think it is because of a dominance of bitcoin in a market. almost all coin follow bitcoin price about rising and fall but remember it's not all coin. The dominance has even reduced than before but I see that as a general mentality of the market which affects traders generally when it comes to making altcoin investment decisions. Beyond all these, I see it more like most traders trying to use the market to increase either their bitcoin or fiat position and in every case, where bitcoin is down, they simply take profit quickly from altcoins and stay out in fiat until further notice and when bitcoin is in a bull run, they simply take profit as well from alts to be a part of the bitcoin long profit. |

What I think is that the price of Bitcoins is connected with the economy of the country and festive season and everything else.
And so the same things applies to altcoins too, therefore it's not wrong to say that the price of Bitcoins and altcoins is interrelated , since the price are based on the same things.
It's not directly connected but it's more like if A is related to B , and C is related to B too then both A and B are related.

For me NO, because the price of each altcoin is based on the market, market is the one who deciding the price of each altcoins. We can say that the price of Bitcoin is also connected on the altcoins because there are some altcoins that is bitcoin pair.

For me altcoins price is not base in bitcoin but since bitcoin is the pillar of crypto currency and it is used asedium for trading in cryptocurrency therefore any price movement of bitcoin affects alt coins as it is traded using bitcoin. |

In the past few days I did not care about the market because I lost a lot of money when I invested. But I believe this market will soon recover and I will soon get back what I have lost. The current market is almost dependent on the price of the BTC I see so on CMC.
