To moderate registration thread because spammers may take up spaces for people registering. At this discussion thread, why should we care about spammers ? They just waste time. I will see if the spamming issue in registration thread needs to be countered.

Also please read though the front/ registration page and suggest to me what should be changed; grammatical errors etc.  We need it to look perfect before the media campaign. EvilDave did proofreading once but I want more checking. Thanks.

As far as I understand, opticalcarrier, Jaguar and Thies are exploring options. So no codes yet except the setting up of NEM github. Cloning is easy, it is far more important to consider nodes infrastructure and added features. It is expected for opticalcarrier, Jaguar and Thies to answer technical questions not me. But be patient and lower expectation. They will let us know when something ready.

Who created the client? Is it a simple one-click-client? (Has not done so until now Nxt)

First, the client (user-friendly) and then a lot of advertising (which is expensive) because we need to keep everyone together and sometimes go deeper into the pocket.

It is not enough just to get shares. If we want to be successful everyone needs to invest.

We will be behind NXT technical development several months, that's for sure. So be patient. But it is nicely moving forward so join in. I don't think Mastercoin had anything much when they raised 4000 BTC in August last year neither and they do not even have much now so - be easy on NEM and its developers.

We have development stakes (check the stakeholder list, page 3) for developers and helpers of NEM. The terms for bounties are also clear so join in and help if you can. But
we don't require anyone to work their butt off  

Also, one NEM stake will give you at least 1 million NEM; talk in this way may make some of you feel better. 1 million NXT is a lot of Money and 1 million NEM could also be a lot of money.

My position is: let the trolls come and post, self-moderating opens u up to all kinds of accusations and makes the whole thread less trustworthy and open. If we can't handle a bit of criticism, then we don't really have what it takes.

Here is plan.
We are going to wait until

1. It is feasible to clone NXT code bases, it would probably not possible until April even though it might be possible earlier  
2. Gathering a mass movement with at least more than 3000 stake holders.
3. In the mean time, we can discuss making logo, currency symbol, setting forum; discussing everything else
4. At some point, I will set up some type of exchange to buy/ sell initial stakes. This will probably happen before the genesis block.
5. Community should give input and make the movement possible. Because at this point I only have 1 account stake as many others.

No we will make an announcement 3 to 5 days in advance and at that point you would need to PM us a certain password/ account/ or identification in your registered username account. I have a plan but I need to make sure it would work before announcing it. It would involve a bit of manual works but we have a team ready for it.

It is expected to happen shortly after the fundraising.

There are details I don't want to reveal yet. It would be very easy to understand and follow if you read the announcement. The risks that you will lose your stake are from:

1. You can't access to your bitcointalk account anymore
2. You don't read the announcement

That's all. If you can do these two above things you will get your stake. And no we won't have any personal information from you. Password means a random password not your account password.

We could just use ripple to trade nem, even now!
I could help setup a trading market and distribute NEM IOU within ripple. These could be traded now and as long as they are redeemable into actual nem after genesis, then it means we can launch nem much sooner

As soon as there is an nem/xrp orderbook, it automatically gets us fiat gateway to usd, cny, eur, etc
We could even convert to btc, ltc, nmc, ppc, doge

Let me know if this is of interest and if it qualifies for fiat gateway

I'm loving this distribution model.

In order for someone to gain just 1% of NEM, they would have to create 40 bitcointalk accounts and pay more than .4btc in fees.

Compare this to NXT, where several people gained control of 4%+ just by sending 1 bitcoin.

I would like to see a ripple gateway for NEM .
