some post have mention the necessity of implement a better client than NXT. I agree with that claim; however I should admit that for me, NxtMac (0.21) works very well. If you guys can implement some application that allow you to open your account without using the browser and with very few steps required to get it active (multibit in the BTC ecosystem is great), then you will have a tremendous potential. We also need publicity.

Hello.

Do you have or do you know where
I can see any videos of that client in action?

Thanks.

Please do not make same error of NXT developer .

To solve the following problems :
Evil peer can wait for forged block and include max transaction.
Evil can add free Alias and free transactions ( fee is returned to forged accounts ) .

You just have break the saint rules of cryptocurrency.
The person who forge the block wins fee transactions in the block.
to
The person who forge the block wine fee transaction in the previous block .

You are payed to forge block
to
You are payed to validate previous block

Nobody should write how much he wants to be paid
Common sense

If you change word of cryptocurrency ,
You will surely need to break rules.

The NXT won't break and embarks on a race a weapons.
That will be lost advance, security must be in the blockchain not in the code.

You have an opportunity of do not be alt NXT but the true NXT

What incentive would there be for a forging node to include any transactions in a block, if it earns none of those fees? It might as well be lazy and forge an empty block, it gets the same fees anyway.

What incentive is there for a client to set anything other than the minimum fee in a transaction, if it knows the forging node doesn't care about its transaction fees? In a scenario where blocks are (sometimes) full and transactions are fighting for a place in them, there should be a way for clients to set fees accordingly (higher fee == higher chance of a quick confirmation).

I have a few questions to NEM.

At first:
In which way are these improvements mentioned at the mainthread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=440185.0) so great, that you should switch from NXT to NEM? I understand that the Blockchain stored in a database is an improvement, but why are the BTC-like Adresses an improvement? And why are the Wallets safer then the Wallets of NXTCoins? Isn't it a step back to allow access to the client only through Tor ? I mean for many people the actual client of NXT is already hard to use and to install. Additionally I think, that the wallets in NXT are already pretty safe through the very long passphrase.

second:
Would the stakeholders get their NXTCoins back, if the project fails?

These Questions are not meant bad or insulting, but I'm interested and also a little bit sceptical  Roll Eyes Tongue

I would like to hear from you and I apologize for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker  Lips sealed

Yours faithfully,

All peers can invalidate block is transaction is not includes.
All nodes wins , if transaction is include.

Actualy, What incentive forge blok without transaction ?

A quick update:

the stakeholder list is back online again and is updated to page 20 of thread 2. There are a few cases of duplicate hashes that cause us to take an extra time in checking the list.
Luckily, as I see it there is probably just one or two fraudsters that tries to take other's transactions and claim a stake. Now in the case that two accounts having the same hash, then one would be legitimate and one would be a fraudster, I would apply these criterion:

1. veteran account would be considered legitimate while new account would be labeled "fraudster".
2. if two accounts are both new; priority is given to the account that post the hash first. The account posts the hash later would be labeled "fraudster".

These two rules could be reversed if a conclusive evidence of the hash's ownership is provided either by: 1. the transaction is signed by one account; 2. a small amount is sent from the sending address to NEM's address to prove the ownership of the sending account.

Thanks for supporting NEM and I apologize for the lateness of updating the stakeholder list or the inconveniences these above methods causing legitimate stakeholders.

We have been checking thoroughly registration thread 2 from the start. When we catch up with the thread 2, a similar audition of thread 1 will be performed.

UP

people are seeking a true fair equal distribution
That's impossible.

How it's different:
1) More $, more % you'll own;
2) No enough BTT-activity, good bye (and good enough activty on your multiple accs, more % you'll own, ofc)?

Wow, cryptopost  Grin
Please explain your message since this is not entirely clear to me...
There's no way to achieve equal distrubution on people basis with pseudoanonymous system.

In Nxt u could "cheat" claiming stake with more BTCs (with 1 BTC cap) and with even more BTCs from different BTT-accs, in NEM u could claim more % of NEMs having more active accs if "newbie-protection" 'd activated. Otherwise, u can claim more NEMs, creating accs and sending fees.

Is there objective difference in fairness between Nxt and NEM? Nope. Cos there's no such thing as objective fair. It could be or could be not more fair in people minds to divide Genesis to 3k accs instead of 73 (goal was in BTCs: 21) with "growing from 0 relatively small fee for equal share" rule instead of "up to 1 BTC proportional to BTCs sent stake" rule. I can't read multiple mindsets (especially combined and in dynamics), so I participating in both projects (as potential user+forger(+datakeeper) and current forger) and watching.

Hello,

I was playing with nem logo, and have found the following shape :
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/j1D49g56wYlxZZyZ7XJHTuG6vkeUJCiC-XHYhCaL1kY=w513-h207-p-no

All the letters have the same shape, so the 'E' gathers the N and the M, and could become the money icon : https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/FrHA0lbdxxb6aAqxRmEV5okwxy9EL7D-6eLtbKTwZyo=w199-h207-p-no

I am not a graphic designer, so I am sure it can be improved. This is a very first try, for fun.

I'm getting a PhD in computer science and wouldn't mind helping out for a dev stake. Send me a msg if you have anything you want me to work on in particular.

I can program an exchange, but one of my concerns is the legality of trading with fiat. Could we set up a corporation in some country where it would be legal and run everything from there?

Sorry nothing definite at the moment. But I can have a way so that you can sell/ buy your stakes within 1 months when the fund raising is over.

When will the list of presumed fraudsters be posted so they can start claiming their funds ?   I was on the list earlier today but waited for things to settle down.  I then see a post claiming veteran accounts are given precedence ?  Do you mean the actual title "veteran"?

My account is from 2012 and I'd really like to know who scammed my transaction, lol.

In the end a list of all the accounts that are proven "fraudsters" should be posted for the greater good of bitcointalk.

veteran means >20 activity. so you are good if a 1 activity newbie takes the hash from you. The list is up again and if you still have an "Y" condition then you are still good.

The list is just updated to page 20 thread 2 though.  Let me know here you you still have a question.
