Coins can't gain weight or age without blocks being added to the chain. The transition shouldn't be "going on", the code should have transitioned us and we should be balls deep in minted blocks by now.

Hopefully we will, every minute that this transition doesn't happen makes the coin look worse and worse to those are watching from the sidelines.

The lack of an open beta testnet run told me this wasn't likely to go well. As I have said here and on reddit, I don't think the devs really understand the POSv code they integrated and they obviously failed to reach out to the creator. I was a part of the testnet beta for reddcoin and the real network transition went off without issue or any extra wallet updates because they tested it extensively on testnet before rolling the code.

Does anyone here know where potlabs and the devs are, globe wise? Is it the start of their day? Or is it the middle of the night?

Anyone else seeing their potwallet use up a ton of CPU cycles? Mine is cycling between 64.8% up to 97.9% on Windows where I have a bunch of coins...my Linux wallet with zero coins is cycling between 0.0 and 16.3.

Anyone else seeing their potwallet use up a ton of CPU cycles? Mine is cycling between 64.8% up to 97.9% on Windows where I have a bunch of coins...my Linux wallet with zero coins is cycling between 0.0 and 16.3.

How many individual blocks of coins do you have? The more chunks of coins, the more cpu and ram the wallet is likely to use. The upside is that when we do get the POSv going, those blocks will be combined by the wallet and if I am right you will see your resource use drop.

That is likely the source of your resource usage. As I said, once POSv kicks in and those coins start staking, they will get combined into fewer larger blocks and you will see your usage go way down.
