Great work Nullu. Maybe Philll90 will join you in dispersing PMC to miners :/

All of us would like to be millionaire but this isn't the right way. If premine doesn't flow between user and there aren't fees for miners is going to die.

Many people don't understand this simple concept and should be a pity if PMC dies for these profiteers

What this coin needs is an EXCHANGE, this promotes "hoarders" to dump if they're really hoarders and people like me to sell to the average joe who wants some but can't mine and wants more than 10 from giveaways.

IMO you DO have a valid point.

It takes time to get on an exchange. The coin isn't even a week old yet dude.

good name and looks fair distribution idea...

anyone can donate a few coins

thanks

1F3NDvCC3N9yRrw8pntUbAccj2YAQCv5GV

want to thank those guys that sent me some.. it was very cool of you.

I somehow missed this thread, but it is without doubt one of the best initial distributions of any coin. Not just reserved for huge farms. I hope this will be going far, and full props to the dev for giving it all out in a measured way.

I think once the tx charges are mandatory this coin will do very well.  When exchanges take it on there will be a lot more transfers in and out generating more tx fees.

Thank you to whoever sent that large donation of coins. It will be used in the miner handout.

I've got the commands working, but I've hit one irritating snag; it doesn't like the same address more than once, so I have to collapse duplicate addresses into single addresses and multiply the reward based on how many times that address shows up; miners hitting multiple blocks consecutively.

Here is what I mean;

The debug window also seems really buggy, as sometimes it won't recognise the commands at all.  Huh

This coins needs an exchange more than any other coin, it promotes transfers aka miner fees and distribution and gets the coins out of the hoarders hands. When is it going up on atomic-trade ?

has anyone contacted coinmarket.io? They're the best running new exchange i've seen in forever, and seem open to new coins!

For the record i have had now 3 exchanges contact me and tell me to be ready. The guy from atomic needs me to compile the code I gave him for windoze. I tried in my VM but its just too slow and wonky. Monday when I get to work I can compile it much faster, with less problems.

Ok, what I need to do is create an address counter, and send it like "payout x number of blocks mined". It's the only way to do it unfortunately. On the plus side, once I've written it, I'll have a hell of a lot less payouts to send out, as I'll only have to pay each miner once proportional to how many blocks they've mined.  Grin

Going to go grab some food, then I'll write the function. I'll be ready to go then!

I keep saying I'm going to step back today - but so far I've sat in front of the computer all day. I must get sunlight and fresh air... gather my thoughts so to speak.

You might want to store the block number up to which point payouts have been made and set it to a new value each time the script has been called, even if it just suffices for catching overflows.

I tried mining using my 8GH Jalapeno. I mined 13 blocks so far, all of them worth exactly 0. I wasn't expecting high profit, I just wanted to help the network.

13 blocks?
Thats 13 PMC fee from me.
Have fun

great idea! I did the same.

Thanks! Donated to the faucet Smiley

I'm getting some blocks with fees, up to 0.7 PMC per block. Come on, people! Set your ASICs to PMC!

I know very little but is it better to send out small (5 PMC) donations with 1 in fees or do larger donations 100, with 1 in fees take longer?

That should work

The script will run in batches, it has a start and end position. I still have to manually send the payouts. Once the script is finished it will tell me the next block I need to start from, and that becomes the start position for the next round of payouts, then.

I just need to write the block counter and add in a comment so miners know why they've received this payout, and hopefully it'll keep miners mining.
