Would be great if it were scrypt, personally I can't mine absolutely anything (thinking of buying a block erupter) so no PMC for me And after trading and giving away most of the PMC I had to increase transactions at first I am poor

So what is the next step for this coin. I think the community we have in here is pretty strong but I feel like we need to get more people talking about it. What are the next steps for the devs?

Would be great if it were scrypt, personally I can't mine absolutely anything (thinking of buying a block erupter) so no PMC for me And after trading and giving away most of the PMC I had to increase transactions at first I am poor Same here, donated every PMC I received to the Block Rewarder and now I have about 0.01 because mining a block solo is hard. No need for a change to Scrypt tho, it's mostly an experiment to see if tx fees could make a viable future for BTC and glad to participate I think Premine is much more than an experiment, personally. It has the potential to become a viable alternative Cryptocurrency. Why settle for uncertainty? All the coins exist. One day Bitcoin will be where Premine is, and who knows if a coin with such a large cap could even survive that kind of transition? PMC is ahead of the curve, and by doing so it has already sidestepped the potential problem that Bitcoin and many coins like it will face. Dogecoin went the other way with infinite inflation. PMC has gone for an absolute cap. It would be pretty hard and risky to store BTC in Dogecoins, but if PMC takes off, then storing BTC in PMC might actually be a far safer alternative. That's a scary thought. The network isn't imposing very high txfees right now, so I've increased the Block Rewarder probability of sending out 1 PMC rewards to 3%. I'm going to need to find a way of upping the standard reward when the network txfees are low.

All the promotion in world won't do much if no one is going to distribute the coin. And I mean a lot of distribution. How many miners are in pools for other coins? I just checked SecureCoin's pool (a moderately popular coin) and there are 1819 active miners. That means 1819 people are getting coins, maybe not a lot, but the coin is being distributed. This thread just can't reach that many people to distribute the coin and we can't rely on the same people giving away all their PMC (but thank you). To me, it seems like we need a good exchange where people can trade coins for PMC, not trade for BTC to trade for PMC, but have PMC as the base currency. It seems logical sense the amount of coins is fixed. My first idea was an Exchange where people could us their PMC as actual money for work. People would pay for Twitter followers, or pay for their site to be Tweeted by someone that has 1000+ followers, or selling url's, or website design, or whatever. That idea just didn't take off at all. So what are some ideas on actual distribution of the coin? We need both, promo and distribution. But we can't rely on those few that have been distributing. They will run out.

Everyone can easily get some coins from the faucet. Those with mining gear can also get some TX fees and block bounties. I think we already have a working infrastructure for free distribution. What we still lack are more and bigger exchanges.

I agree we need more methods of distribution, but it would be wrong to say it isn't being distributed. My Block rewarder is putting PMC in almost every new block. The Dev has his own block reward script too. I am willing to code if there are practical methods of distribution. I am more than open to ideas.

I'm trying to figure out the best approach for this. I think I can do it with listreceivedbyaccount. It is being looked into, I just have a lot on this week.

For sure. I'm not saying that it's not being distributed, I'm just comparing the number of people being distributed to. I honestly believe the PMC community is doing more than most other Coin communities. PMC was first only distributed by "hand" and has since progressed. Something like DogeCoin or CoinyeCoin need nothing to get seen. PMC needs the community. You and the Dev have been an essential part of this and one day PMC will be exactly what you thought it always could be. Also, someone mentioned the name Premine as being a not-so good name. Why don't we just refer to it as PMC? PMC flows nicely in a sentence. That way nothing has to change. One thing that would help out PMC and get it to the common man, is an online wallet. Somewhere where Uncle Bob can hop online on his XP desktop, create an online wallet, hit the faucet, then trade on an exchange. That way he can then tell Aunt Mary when she complains about him being on the computer, he can say "Well, I just traded 10 PMC for 0.01 BTC. Go spend that $7.00 on www.overstock.com." Makes her happy. But he actually has been trading for months and just traded enough into BTC to buy a pair of Sacramento Kings tickets for him and Uncle Joe.

I totally agree that services are the next step, and after we hit a bigger exchange and the price increases, I can look towards contributing to development bounties.

I'm currently in the process of setting up my own altcoin pool site. Due to Premine Coin's "Science over Profit" nature, I think this coin would be an excellent candidate for my first test. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated as I go

I think this would be a very good idea!!! I don't like this thing. There is a ton of exchanges which don't require to be bribed, and there's zero guarantee that this particular one will outbid Poloniex. And it smells fishy from the start.

I support the idea of uasteel. I think someone should create a new topic in the Altcoins section: "PMC marketing & promotion" All ideas for better marketing of PMC can be collected here. This would have some advantages: 1. This provides a better dissemination in the forum. 2. All ideas can be collected and be organized from one person. We should also establish a marketing fund. A trusted member should manages the PMC fund for meaningful promotions (not only for giveaways). I would like to participate here with some PMC. We should take a example from the NXT project: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412243.0What do you think of my proposal? Currently, we have a lack of concrete actions. All supporters just agree that PMC has to go to a larger exchange. What are we doing specifically to achieve this goal?

I won't be paying for further signatures until I iron out the details. Let me work out how I'll pay for signatures and I'll post about it tomorrow. @carlomagno I'll add you to the list to be paid, but I need to work it out first. Here your explanation

I did say that I have stopped paying for signatures until I work out the details. Drop me a PM and I'll send the PMC later, but I want to be clear: I am not paying for anymore signatures right now until I work out the details.

While I'm not a huge fan of allcrypt specifically, if a bribe is what it takes, i'm willing to start a fundraiser. It may be worth paying an exchange X PMC instead of giving it out as handouts to more shell accounts here. If we agree to pay an exchange in small amounts instead of all up front so that they don't crash the price when they dump, its pretty low risk. I think this community could easily raise say 5k (or whatever the exchange asks for) PMC to get us on an axchange, and 1% of a new, potentially high value coin is pretty appealing and hard to turn down!
