I know some of you would wonder what this topic is doing here, in the Economics section, but since it is in fact an economic question with purely utilitarian goals in mind, I think it is where it should be. This is a serious question and I'm not kidding. I'm not very interested in European languages like German or French, or whatever, as I think languages like Chinese and Japanese are more promising and rewarding in terms of both usage and money in the nearest future. Personally, I'm more inclined toward Japanese (that's why I'm not decided yet), though I understand that Chinese may be a better choice for the time being and years to come

So what is your opinion on this matter from an economic point of view, with crypto in mind?

Well, in my opinion, the language you should learn next is English. Why? Even though you know how to speak english you must widen your english language. And english is our second language its a universal language, wherever you go as long as you can speak english you can communicate  well with other country.

I have voted Chinese, and here's why. I think that the Communist Party of China is on the way out from Chinese power structures. Then after it is replaced by a truly democratic government, China will start thriving like never before. The world will be witnessing a great economic and cultural renaissance of the nation which was restrained for so long by outdated government. I think it's really interesting to take part in that process, so I wish you good speed in learning Chinese.

As china rises to power and almost everyone in the known world is courting china to be their ally, I'm pretty sure Mandarin is the way to go. There are alot of major businesses joined to the hio with a Chinese investor. They also have alot of possible investors that could boost a company. China also is a super power in goodd with their masdive workforce.

I think that it’s wiser to choose Japanese, coz this country supports new technologies, including cryptocurrency, way stronger than China. But since I don’t know your purpose to learn new language, my advice may be wrong for you.
If you are fond of travelling in different countries of the world and that you don’t know different languages, then it is better to learn the languages which are mostly spoken in the entire world. Learning of English, Chinese, French and Japanese can help you in much better way as it will then help you in communicating with more people around the globe. Learn the language which attracts you the most.

Mandarin can be a good language that you should learn next because many Chinese investors are really making big thing in the market. I personally planning to learn Mandarin since a lot of business man here in my place are Chinese and I'm planning to do business with them. Also better to learn the language of investment, especially in cryptomarket since this can be a good thing for your investment.

Yeah I agree that it's best to learn the language that you love the most and feel comfortable with it. I know this may seem subjective but I recommend learning Japanese since it's not only pleasing to hear but it's also the language of one of the most developed countries in the world. Moreover, it's widely believed that the inventor of bitcoin came from Japan, so with bitcoin-influenced mind, I think it will be an advantage to study Japanese.

learn the language of cryptocurrency and the market.
yes, it sounds not a good answer because it is not really a language.
but as we all know, language is a medium to communicate.
the language we are using in the market of cryptocurrency is the graph, trend and walls.
these are what we need to learn with our community.

Im a filipino so for me the next language that I want to learn now is english. I should learn english first I need to learn a lot more in English because honestly im not that really good enough when it comes in english. And it's a universal language so for me this is the language that I should  learn next. I can speak english a little bit but only the basic english and I'm not contented on that. So I need to learn more because I want to be good in this language.

I was opportune to learn Russian, It was difficult but I scaled through. Chinese and Japanese are great languages to learn, but with crypto related activities, I would prefer Japanese, you cannot learn Chinese and hope they have a change of mind about cryptocurrencies.

The next language you should learn must be JAPANESE. Japan is one of the countries who HEAVILY support crypto. You will have fun in Japan because they have events for bitcoin. Don't even consider Chinese because they don't even support crypto yet. If they in case changed their mind, they will start from scratch unlike Japan who were one of the top countries in terms of bitcoin. The decision is a no brainer if crypto was your focus.

Since English language is our international language then why don't we expand our knowledge with this language. English language would be the way to interact with other people around the world and I think Japan and china is in the process of learning English language so we need to wait that people around can speak English so that we can trade around the world without any language barrier.
IMO, he "OP" asked like this because he is an active user of english. That's why he's more interested in learning another language. I am more inclined to give input to learn japanese, although you say that this time is very good if you learn chinese language. Why did I say that? I am more interested in countries that provide full regulation of crypto. There we will find convenience in all things related to crypto. Look at china, even they spread the issue that adversely affects the crypto.

I would choose chinese as China is the most populated and fastest country in terms of development. There are just a billion+ people to have business with, they also seem to love blockchain, though it will be some alternative centralized versions of it

I think it depends which culture you would prefer to study more, because I think both will be good from a crypto point of view.

Seeing that Japan has a more open attitude to Bitcoin, I would say Japanese is the safer option in terms of your studies paying off.
i want to learn japanese because i like to deal with japanese in digital money, i want to be like them free and be encouraged by government to join in investing in normal cryptographic coin like their country

Learning a different language is advantageous in doing business. I would want to learn Japanese, French and German language. These languages are used by the top crypto – friendly countries. It will be easier to express my thoughts if someday I may have the opportunity to interact with them.

I voted for chinese. You could even work as a translator or english tutor. The demand for them is quite high over there. You wouldn't even need to move there, alot of people just do it online.

Being fluent in English is no longer a privilige, but rather a necessity. My personal experience was learning a language that is not so common (Norwegian). It has some pros and cons. I think Chinese has a great potential if you dont mind the challange.
Well, English is a necessity for those who do not understand it. From the perspective of a native English person, I believe learning another language outside the European language right now is actually a plus and from the list of the OP, and looking at it crypto-wise, I would actually go for Japanese.

I guess their level of embrace to cryptocurrency is far more compared to China. Looking at it, in crypto and business wise though, my heart tends towards China, maybe he should just go for the two if his brain can carry the twisting of tongues.

Chinese as far as I am concerned is going to be a top notch language for me to learn for someone who is actually considering some business perspective. However, the last time I checked, I thought Chinese are really trying hard to learn English so as to be able to blend anywhere internationally. With crypto in mind though, Japanese can actually be better, but with business in mind, it is Chinese. Economically, if you can learn both Chinese and Japanese, it won't be bad.
