how them broken promises coming along for you? Vitalik Buterin (the OP) last logged in here in June 2016. I wonder how he would answer your question. He is now a well known person and all of the people who know about cryptocurrencies know about his social media accounts and go to contact with him there that is why he remain active there mostly to be in contact with people. You can go to his twitter account and try to contact with him. I hope he will contact you and will answer your question. If he can use this forum when his Ethereum project was new and it needed promoting for free, then there is nothing to stop him from posting in here once in a while.

ETH 1k by end of year?
1K sats seems a little low, but maybe. That would certainly be a fair valuation for this tired old scamcoin.

Well, I kinda agree with you using blockchain on in-game purchasing would be a game-changer. But I still think once ETH gets converted to the PoS mechanism we would see some good price movement. Maybe after that something innovative will follow lol
Actually, I'm quite intrigued on what will be the effect of PoS mechanism once its implemented regarding to its price movement and project growth overall. But, honestly, is there any timeline on when this will be implemented? I know that there are technical challenges but why are they taking so long? Hey, I'm not negative regarding my comments. I just wanted some additional information regarding the planned POS mechanism. As far as I know, they are planning to launch the phase 0 of ETH 2.0 on Jan 3rd 2020. As to why they are taking so long to I have no idea lol. If you want to know more maybe you can read this article by the cointelegraph. I could tell you examples of several coins that went from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake here in Bitcointalk but they are all mostly mining pump and dumps. The scheme was coins were either pre-mined, allocated or developer-biased mining. Miners mine for the first two weeks or so and then switches to PoS. Of course, because the insider miners received the most coins, they pump up the coin in Bittrex or Poloniex upon coin listing and then dump their large stacks onto unsuspecting buyers. But in ETH's case, it is already years of PoW before switching to PoS. I think at first there will be hype and then back to the old prices. The phenomenon of pump & dump doesn't necessarily have to be always caused by evil actions of insiders. Any coin starts with only a few coins, but if it becomes famous people will rush to buy it the moment it touches an exchange, driving the price insanely high. This is what happened with GRIN, I was there since the beginning and I show the craze unfold. So, just as you guessed, I also believe there'll be an initial hype/price pump and then the realization will hit and the prices will return to the previous levels.

That’s true, don’t forget your roots, especially if you are talking about a decentralized community. A decentralized project should not change the way social interaction grows in popularity. This is in principle contrary to his logic

In the photo are all so friendly, I want to have all these guys more often visited and wrote on the forum!

They might not need this forum now that their project has become a success but it would be a mistake to abandon it completely because if things go sour at least they can come back and be welcomed back.

That's the reason as soon as ETH reaches my target price I will take the profits because I don't wanna go through another bear market holding lol.

The biggest strenghth of eth is the decentralized community. In the world it has the largest blockchain community also. Now adays thousands of developers are trying to make an application of eth which will be easy for the users.
True, very true. But it doesn't mean a successful application that gets to be used is anytime soon. I compare blockchain development to the era of computing in the 80s where it is more cumbersome to use a PC than writing simple records in a piece of paper.

Considerations for using sidechain elements in sharding: https://medium.com/chainsafe-systems/ethereum-2-0-a-complete-guide-scaling-ethereum-part-two-sharding-902370ac3beIn fact, the sidechains are very reminiscent of the logic of interactions inside a skyscraper where a given number of couriers move. Skyscraper with unlimited size and number of floors, without problems from wind and gravity. There is a bottleneck problem in the form of elevators for interactions between floors, but there are solutions. And I don’t remember that between floors the customs, border guards or parliament had a tendency to regulate the movement In this example, it’s important not to mix flies with cutlets. There are addressing principles. Floor, office number, name of the addressee. For movement between floors, the office number, addressee and contents of the package are not important at all, we are only interested in the number of "couriers" differentiated between two separate floors and the task is to optimize only this "movement process", the rest of the data is important only within the floors locally and these values not important The “balance of couriers” simply changes between two separate floor addresses. What are our solutions? Elevator express when a package of “couriers” is dynamically formed from the general queue of movement There, in turn, priorities for the formation of packets on the "traffic" or "sending time limits" Addressing the "elevator" when the "packets" travel between floors on elevators A, B, C, D, E, F and so on ... Differentiation of directions for distributed systems does not matter much, but do not forget about it Do you think this logic cannot be used in the sidechain system? But it’s also easy to cascade

Ethereum will face strong competition from exchanges offering their own alternatives.
Binance has launched several projects now. Other exchanges are having their own IEOs.
Will Ethereum be able to hold its own in a rapidly changing and competitive market that is innovating all the time?

The Chinese flashlight pen in the end is neither a pen nor a flashlight. It is better to have separate but effective tools, which is why exchange platforms are not a competitor

Isn't that the design goal of Ethereum? Ethereum has the largest team, and philosophically they seem to be primarily concerned with making it cutting edge technology, not worrying about price. The goals of most of us investors are probably not very well aligned with the hardcore Ethereum developers goals.

Some are thinking that the BTC futures contracts that are due on Friday are the cause. Others the testimony Zuckerberg is giving to the USA Congress right now about Libra. Whatever the reason, it's industry wide not just Eth. Nothing has changed with Eth to my knowledge.

Obviously since the Master Protocol has many of the same goals, I'm keeping an eye on this project.
Regardless of which technology stacks survive and/or thrive, I think we can all agree that the financial world is in for some major upheaval!
Sure, it's obvious that the protocol is only a tool to achieve freedom based economy. Yes from that perspective

There is no bad news all this happening because of the recent changes in the price of BTC so others are following it . No need to be worry about this and get panic without any reason ETH is still performing much better as compare with other altcoins.
