I am also curious. Why bitcoin is going up while all the altcoins are going down?

On Aug 1st, some guys are forking BTC to BCC (Bitcoin cash). After the hard fork, you can get same amount of BCC as BTC you hold. It is free money, just like how people got free ETC from their ETH holdings. So people are buying BTC by dumping their alt coins.

TLDR: the more BTC you collect before 1st Aug, the more free BCC you get.

Yeah, that should be it.
Many people buying who don't understand that (BTC worth 2500$ before Aug 1st) doesn't mean that (BTC will worth 2500$ + BCC will worth 2500$ after Aug 1st) but more likely that (BTC + BCC will worth 2500$ after Aug 1st).

That plus the classic "buy the rumor, sell the news".

Where are the devs? Started Mist wallet 10 hours ago. Till now it did not find a single block. I can't sync that way. It's always hanging in the state "Looking for peers...".

Any advice? Mist is unuseable that way.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

The ethereum virtual machine (EVM) now has what appears to be its first ever decompiler designed to revert smart contracts into source code.
Announced onstage today by the founder of cybersecurity startup Comae Technologies at the DefCon hacker conference in Las Vegas, the open-source EVM decompiler was designed to make it easier to identify bugs in ethereum smart contracts.

Coming at a time when a string of ethereum hacks have exposed the difficulty of writing secure smart contract code, the decompiler, called Porosity, promises to let developers revert difficult to understand EVM bytecode back to its original state.

Viper is an experimental programming language that aims to provide the following features:

Bounds and overflow checking, both on array accesses and on arithmetic
Support for signed integers and decimal fixed point numbers
Decidability - it's possible to compute a precise upper bound on the gas consumption of any function call
Strong typing, including support for units (eg. timestamp, timedelta, seconds, wei, wei per second, meters per second squared)
Maximally small and understandable compiler code size
Limited support for pure functions - anything marked constant is NOT allowed to change the state

How can Super DAO help Ethereum? Why are some people pessimistic? When the PoS will become integrated, end of the year, right? Ethereum Classic can start to compete from now on?

What are you opinions on tokens on Ethereum?

What the new SEC report means for future ICOs is very unclear at the moment.
Some ICOs might be found in violation of securities law, and some might be different enough to be in the clear.

I'm interested in how will that affect Ethereum

Ever since Ethereum’s all-time high of about US$400, it has seen a steady decline in value. At the time of writing, ETH’s price is around US$183 per token. It is currently the weekend, and the price is probably a little deflated due to that. For Ethereum’s investors and holders alike, however, this feels like the price correction that will not stop. Let’s take a look at a few of the reasons why Ethereum may be performing the way it has been.

Ethereum recovered some lost value because of the well known reason of $ 485k worth of Ethereum which was seized by FBI in action against BTC-E. That was immediate reaction and has nothing to do with overall situation. Ethereum will show come back once crypto markets will calm downed.

But $485k is not significant in the market cap of Ethereum, there must be another major reason why the price regain some of its lost value during the weekend
