the whole ethereum blockchain can "live" without ETH just think it for a minute  sell & run It's not true at all lol. Miners needs a reward to mine to new blocks and you always need gas to interact with smart contracts or send your ether. I didn't even think for a minute, I just needed a couple seconds Transactions need something that we refer to as Gas, and when Gas on the Ethereum network is bought with something other than Ether, it is called the economic abstraction, because that is what it still is - abstraction. Ether is NOT Needed on the Ethereum Network Here is the theory: for example, the most common, ERC-20 tokens, are using products of the Ethereum blockchain, and are a part of the same ecosystem. If the user is able to agree with the miner to pay for the transaction with any of countless ERC-20 tokens, they would be able to exclude Ether from the equation, which could have a seriously negative impact on the price of ETH Think out of the box for a minute and this could be a real scenario |

I don't think you should omit the breaking point of BTC dominance in march 2017 (when the ETF got rejected) Because that's what set up the market.  You can see how BTC dominance broke the bear trendline of dominance in August. But alts haven't broke support so my believe is that: 1. BTC dominance falls because of alts correcting. Possibly BTC falls to 5,000. So alt correction wouldn't be due to dollar value correction, but to BTC value correction. |

yeap, bitcoin dominance now are 57.9%  the biggest dominance level of btc this year last time it was so big on decemeber, but there btc was 15-20K usd and market cap also was huge, and now its also like a year ago, i dont know when this falling ends and where is the bottom Big support level is around 0.024 BTC but some traders are predicting it could fall below $100. I don't think we will see this under$150 I hope soon this trend will be over and we will see good recovery in coming days it has good chance for it. Let's hope so, this free falling of ETH is scary. |

imo eth should have burned when created new erc20 tokens, this way the system actually converting useful eth into tokens by burning the eth supply

Why would they do that? An erc20 token is just a smart contract, you're saying that when someone deploys a smart contract, an ETH's amount must be burned. And whose ETH? Smart contract's deployer's ETH? No way |

Why would they do that? An erc20 token is just a smart contract, you're saying that when someone deploys a smart contract, an ETH's amount must be burned. And whose ETH? Smart contract's deployer's ETH? No way BTW that is not a practical solution to provide any stability to ETH so that I also agreed with you if there will be this kind of solution surely it will make this terrible platform. This is impossible to choose this way to destroy all ETH who raised through any smart contract. |

Lucky for you, I traded my btc to eth when it was $200 but still I feel like I am rewarded in holding some ETH because once BTC recovers or pumps just like last year chances are it will go back to $1.2k. |

They showed improvements in coinmarketcap around 4.5%, not much indeed but it looks like this is the end of a downtrend and I hope all the prices will soon improve. |
