Drew Hinkes, an adjunct professor at NYU Law and Athena Blockchain general counsel, pointed out to Decrypt  that the statement merely confirms Clayton’s position, not that of the Commission. “Clayton’s statement is a staff member’s statement agreeing with a prior staff member’s public statement,” he said. “Although there is political capital necessary to make these public statements, they do not create or establish the law for these topics.”

Hinkes added that the statement does at least confirm that there is a system of “internal analysis used by the regulator when considering the status of certain instruments.” Yet this is “not as useful as guidance, rulemaking, a regulation, or a law would be for issuers” and leaves startups—and their lawyers—“unclear as to whether offerings should be structured around these comments.”

In other words, we’re still in the dark.

“Did Clayton endorse the SAFT framework? (No),” industry lawyer Marco Santori summarized in social media comments. “Nor did he say that Ether is not a security. Words have meaning, though, and so does diction. It’s tough to ignore these letters and everything that goes into them.”

However, until now it was never fully clear whether Hinman was communicating official SEC policy or his own personal views. Previously, Clayton had said that he did not consider Bitcoin a security, but he had declined to address other assets, including Ethereum.
The distinction is crucial. A securities classification would have likely seen Ethereum booted from US cryptocurrency exchanges, and the SEC previously warned that exchanges that list illegal securities could themselves faces repercussions.
This increased regulatory clarity could further help spur institutional adoption, as questions surrounding cryptocurrencies’ legal status has been identified as one of several roadblocks to convincing more institutions to become active in the crypto space.

Market share for Samsung sure is a wide thing if we are describing on how large they have worldwide. Think of a news and on how it can move the market and with this application and inclusion to their mobile which gives the users idea that crypto isn't just all about the bad things that these people have heard from the people who love to spread FUD.

There are lots of Samsung users worldwide. According to an article, I read the company is expecting to sell more than 20M units of S10.

I too think there are not much of decent wallets for holding ETH and at the same time keeping the funds safe.

What is the problem to use MEW for this purpose I didn't understand about your concern to use that wallet. MEW is being used among the ETH community from a long time?

Until now ethereum.is one of an establish altcoin crypto in the market. I do believe in this coin and probably it has more trading number of transactions compared to bitcoin though it consist only of few.amounts per trade if compare to bitcoin. As we all know that other investors made huge transaction with btc so and to which we could see how great is the coin market cap.

What is the problem to use MEW for this purpose I didn't understand about your concern to use that wallet. MEW is being used among the ETH community from a long time?

mew themselves state its not advised to type your private key into their site, has been reports of them being compromised in the past. surely with such an advanced currency this is not such a big ask?

Ethereum is growing more solid from last 3 months as compare with any other coin and still sitting on 2nd position. I think this is good achievement for this coin and still it has big space available if we will see this in wider scenario than it is very safe investment for bright future.

Wait, what? Ofcourse you can use your ERC20 tokens with Ledger! I know because I'm using one!
Ledger Live (the wallet's software suite) might not have a dedicated screen for the ERC20 tokens, but you can add any token in MetaMask and then link your Ledger with MetaMask.
It's totally safe because whatever transaction you request from MetaMask's interface will need to be internally signed from your hardware wallet, your private keys never leave your hardware by design.

You can also use MyEtherWallet with your Ledger, after MEW loads your wallet it'll find all (most?) of your tokens and if anything is missing you can add it manually using the token's address.
From reading your post, I understood that you though you can't connect Ledger to MyEtherWallet, sorry if I misunderstood something.

According to BitInfoCharts.com, the Ethereum blockchain size is 181.65 GB at the time of writing, representing the total size of all block headers and transactions. Also, there is a concept in Ethereum called “pruning”, which means that you don't have to download the entire blockchain to be a full node.

It is worse than that. There is no such thing as "ethereum full nodes installed on Infura". There is only one full node. Most ethereum enterprise businesses including exchanges are using Infura APIs to send and receive ethers. Even Vitalik's foundation doesn't run full node!
