Price manipulation can happen in bitcoin market. This concept is carried out by the whales subtly. If any Whale wants to depreciate the value of bitcoin he will simply release enough bitcoin in his possession into the market once there is enough quantity the price will be affected and goes down. He will then sell off and re enter the market and buy more at a lower price and get ready to sell at a higher price making more profit. Simply that is how manipulation of price happens.

Yes, price manipulation can happen if someone has a lot of bitcoin. they call them whales. even I've heard a rumor that there is a group holding bitcoin in a very large amount, they can control the market price on bitcoin.

yes, price manipulation can be done by whales with lots of bitcoin and money, and this is not the case now bitcoin price manipulation has occurred when bitcoin prices are still low, with the presence of groups holding bitcoin in large quantities they can certainly control the bitcoin market price easily.

Of course it has happened a lot of times. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are a great place to earn a lot of money if you know how to trade. People who have a lot of money can try to manipulate the market by selling lots of crypto. Many crypto traders are newbies and they will sell their BTC right after the dump starts which will cause the price to lower even more. That's why we have so many corrections.

When bitcoin started no one can manipulate na price. Because its volatile, no person who handle the bitcoin. So before you enter in bitcoin world you must know the risk. Because no one can predict the price of bitcoin.

Whales manipulating prices, exchanges manipulating volume...this is all standard stuff. The problem is..this stuff is very hard to notice and culprits usually get away with it. Partly, it's our fault. Whales can't manipulate prices if we all just hodl and don't succumb to their dirty tactics...this is a combat between whales and ordinary investors like us. If we are smarter than them and just hodl while they're setting up fake walls, the market would look a whole lot different and more stable.

I think price manipulation is not as easy as you say, however bitcoin prices are very high and require big whales simultaneously do it. but that is difficult in the current situation when the market tends to be unstable.

I personally believe that somehow manipulation of price value of bitcoin could be possible since these people had enough btc and this could make an impact in the crypto market. These people known as the whale investors which could be responsible for any bear market in the crypto currency which contributes to the down trend movement of bitcoin.

There is an investigation been carried out by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to checkmate the manipulation of bitcoin, and possibly other cryptocurrencies. I also do not believe that the price of Bitcoin can be manipulated and that it is impossible to do. of course the price of Bitcoin will rebound again and the trading still keep some of their coins to immediately sell it.

Of course it can happen. Cryptocurrency is a volatile market with minimal regulation around the world. Investors specially the whales are seeing this as a quick buck for them. I also think that the media is partnered with some of the whales which really affects the price with their bias news for newbies to believe with. It's really bad that it's happening though because it really hurts the growth of price and the reputation of Bitcoin being labeled as a pyramid scam or other types of things. I don't think they will be able to stop this manipulations in the near future though.

I believe that price manipulation is present in the market. Even if the price is manipulated by some big whales in the market people are willing to invest because of the profit we gain upon investing. People must learn to hold if manipulation starts to move again during the price ups and downs.

Yes it could be possible, bitcoin price can be manipulated by some investors that are holding a huge amount of bitcoins. Specially when they buy and sell a huge amount of bitcoin, which will certainly increase and decrease of its price in just a few moments.

di hope this will result to positivity,and hoping there will really a power the authority to investigate this manipulation since cryptp is anonymous and there will be a hard task to pinpoint every individual or company that serving as manipulator in cryptocurrency

That is possible, especially for those trading platforms that have fewer members and have a huge capital. Imagine, if there a just thousand of accounts trading with an average of one bitcoin is traded, then suddenly a mysterious account has created a buy order for about a thousand of bitcoins. It could then block the price to go down or to block the price to go up. There is also some manipulation in relation to the teather, once there are a lot of teather created the price of bitcoin also goes up. Even though these activities are possible, I never thought that most of the platform did that way.

I think that is good chance when an investor try to manipulate the price, they buy bitcoin with really high price before doing a dump action. But for now, i think it is really hard to manipulate the bitcoin price because the price is really high than 3 years ago.

The price of bitcoin on each exchanges site is different. Low trading volume makes people easier to influence the price of bitcoin there. But if you talk about criminal then I have no answer about it, I only trade bitcoin in big exchange site that thrusted.
