It would entirely depend on your own strategy in winning against the volatility in the market. Diversification is a wise way of managing the risks involved in crypto world. Personally, I have invested heavily most of my holdings in alts that have good rewards by staking and master nodes. So far, by treating them as passive income, it covers my daily expenses.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

lol at the logic employed by most people rocking up here now

picking a winning alt is going to get a lot harder so unless you're a very very big student of crypto then sticking with btc is probably going to return you way better results long term

alts are diluting to nothing

there are perhaps at best 8 alts that are solid picks at the current price ... but finding them is not easy for 99% of people

most are not even in the top 100

If your holding bitcoin for a long time and the market suddenly drops very big I thinks there's no need to sell it to cut losses all we need to do is to be patiently waiting until the market price increases.

This question is also reflects on how we manage our life on this business, on how to earn icome quickly, and mostly all people who joins on these business are having different of ideas and techniques, some people are fan of holding their bitcoin on a long term, but some people also selling directly as long as they have already earn income even only on a small profit.

On the one hand you are right, but still many people and probably me as well not so crypto related and we still need currency to pay bills, buy something to eat and so on.
I will hold my btc Wink

Maybe you can hold it for at least a year or a maximum of 2 years. Your money will not grow if you will not use it. Everything is temporary, so do price. You can hold it in long term 2 years or more but make sure that you monitor the price and get some news to decide whether to keep it or not.

If I think we all can not predict it to hold bitcoin in a long time who knows will be going up in the very near future

therefore i still think that btc is the best long-term investment, at least when we compare it with bch, there is uncertainty about bch in the market so i think holding btc is still better

Although bch is also a good crypto coin but the comparison is far from any status as part of the cryptocurrency coin

yes, I agree with your opinion. because of the current bitcoin movement I see bitcoin still in an unusual problem. I think it's better not to hold bitcoin for now because this will hurt us if it's going to last a long time and the drastic decline is always lurking.

I think, maybe you are right, it is better to use the capital to trade or follow the legitimate ICO. once the market goes down you can get a chance.
Buy alt and hold coins to reach your target. Good coins never give you a loss. So do some research first before investing.

Bitcoin is very suitable in long term investment, it is the first cryptocoin trusted by people. I prefer to buy bitcoin now because i believe bitcoin will soar high this year. All we have to do is to trust bitcoin and hold longer because it will leads us to good profits in the future. Hodling is the best strategy to earn high.

Bitcoin is really better now to buy for day trading, because in the long run it does not represent any interest.

But if in the current time, the value of the variable variable variable and the direction is down down. if you think if have profit, we should then chốt BTC for sale, do not take longer too long. can be time will be do take a loss value, they are no possible to the first as the previous. because that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that you can see the HEAD of the BTC.

Hold is Bitcoin for long time, there is no much profit. You know why ?

Because if you only hold Bitcoin your balance will grow up only on USD rate. For example you hold 1 BTC . Current price 7500$. It's might 10k after some day. But you still have only 1 BTC.

Now think you have 1 btc and you convert it into BCH. Example for 1 BTC you get 10 BCH. Rate per bch is 0.1 BTC .

After some day if Bitcoin grow up, At the same time BCH also will grow up.
If bch rate grow 1.5 btc then you will have 1.5 BTC.

But before buy alt coin please select best coin to avoid dump.

So what you think. Hold alt coin or Bitcoin ?

That is the purpose of holding waiting the value of particular coin to have a good value even you hold alts. Bitcoin is the good coin to hold becauae the potential to have a good value is high.

in fact it all depends on your own confidence. because if indeed do not hesitate yes because 90% you will lose. but do not be sorry if later prices soar and you have nothing.

Why do you overlook bitcoin as for me bitcoin is a coin which will be beneficial to investors in time to come unlike ethereum which fall easily. People who hold bitcoin have high chance of profit than alt coin.

For me long term is still good.  But you must monitor always the growth rate  so that you can build a new strategy, target price and to get the right timing to sell as well  'cause to be honest holding in long term isn't worth it if you are not  making technical analysis every day, which is you will end up to losing money if you let your money floating in the market without checking the circumstance of the growth rate.
When it comes to that of the bitcoin, I don’t think so that there can be any other better thing to do other than that of the holding of the bitcoin for some longer period. doing so will give you a chance of making far more money than you invested and that you will then be able to make some good earning at the end which will help you in getting closer to your goals which you want to achieve.

Looking at what goals you pursue, there are people who do not bother and why do you think that the price of altcoin in which you transfer bitcoin will remain stable  Huh

Whoever believes that Bitcoin should not be held for S long term period is simply  a noob in cryptocurrency.  Bitcoin has performed better been held for a while compare to when you just trade it's volatility.

Choose the right time to hold bitcoin or altcoin is based on your experience. You must take an overview on market to make your own choice.
Example: When btc up and down suddenly, alt market will down, this is right time to use btc to buy the dip and wait alt market recovery to earn more btc, then take profit and wait next chance.
Or another advise is: Buy when red and sell when green, repeat it!! Good luck!

you have a point, me too also i dont hold bitcoin i just do trade bitcoin to buy some altcoin to  gain more any bitcoin.but like you said we need to choose a good coin to invest to avoid losses in the market..because sometimes some altcoins will dump and it takes time to recover. So we need to be more careful to buy altcoins with bitcoin and study the graph of that coin if it has a potential to pump more.
