Hold is Bitcoin for long time, there is no much profit. You know why ?
Because if you only hold Bitcoin your balance will grow up only on USD rate. For example you hold 1 BTC . Current price 7500$. It's might 10k after some day. But you still have only 1 BTC.
Now think you have 1 btc and you convert it into BCH. Example for 1 BTC you get 10 BCH. Rate per bch is 0.1 BTC .
After some day if Bitcoin grow up, At the same time BCH also will grow up.
If bch rate grow 1.5 btc then you will have 1.5 BTC.
But before buy alt coin please select best coin to avoid dump.
So what you think. Hold alt coin or Bitcoin ?
I'm not holding BTC. Currently I have few positions: EOS, Welltrado, Ethereum and Ripple. |

I agree with this. Holding bitcoin too long I feel less profitable. Because if prices fall so much we will be very sorry. We recommend that when prices go up we sell immediately, but not all. Better to sell half of it then we buy a good altcoin. That way we can get cash, altcoin, and still have leftover bitcoin.

I think it's okay to hold bitcoin for a long time because you should realize it bitcoin has a very limited supply and every year bitcoin prices always go up because it's getting harder to get bitcoin.

Why shouldn't I hold bitcoin for a long time. I want to generate profit and so I will continue to hold bitcoin for sometime
a very appropriate choice if you continue to hold bitcoin. bitcoin is the most expensive coin and many choose it as a future investment. But we must always be careful and not negligent . |

I agree with your thinking that it makes sense, and I think it's better to make 1 BTC into two valuable altcoins like BCH and ETH in my opinion that two altcoins are good for me, and it seems BCH will increase in price for a few months and I really sure.

There are benefits in holding bitcoin or altcoin rather, but the way on how process you want to do. I don't think why you said that never hold bitcoin for along time. In long time of holding have more advantage in gaining more profits that is my experience and more community said.

invest in altcoin sounds good for me, invest and hold btc it is sounds good too, because i believe that bitcoin price is will be rise again, and my prediction in 2019 will be cryptocurency year especially bitcoin which will be rise up the price, good time for getting benefit

both are good for holding. if you wanna get more profit altcoin is suitable for you. if you want solid coin, choose bitcoin ofc

That makes sense. So it is a right decision to hold on to my altcoins than BTC. Because, BTC is used mainly for trading purposes or buying altcoins. Not on long term holding. Although it would bring profits, it is not the same in altcoins that might have a x10 or x20 profit.

One of the way to increase amount of BTC is by doing trading, but there are will be any risk because when the prediction wrong our BTC amount will decrease, so need more skill and knowledge how to minimize the risk, like when trade on the pair BTC with altcoin, its better only for short trading and take profit between 10% to 50% and also dont forget to use stop loss. Hold BTC for long term is good for people who does not have times to trade.
