Bitcoin price is constantly dropping for the last several days. What effects are putting it on Altcoins ? Is it bad or good ?
Bitcoin has a huge share in cryptocurrency and it has a big impact to all altcoins if bitcoin continously dropping most of the investors are afraid also to invest in alts because all altcoins depends only in bitcoins value.I think its bad. |

For me it's bad if btc dropping cause it affects the price of altcoins and to investors also and other holders of altcoin everyone's wanted the price goes up and make profits but if btc dropping all profits are slowly gone so it really bad if btc dropping.

BTC dropping is not so good to the other altcoins because their price are highly depend on the value of BTC
Yes I know that but thanks for the information, except Etherium is a independent coin is not depend in demand of btc. |

In my opinion if btc is dropping alts will drop more than btc. Because coins which have bigger marketcap can be more stable than lower market cap coins. You can expect huge dump for altcoins if you are seeing huge dump for btc. Because btc is the biggest coin in crypto space and btc determining the market situation. |

Altcoins can't go unaffected when btc drops i don't think it has ever happen whereby btc will dip and altcoins are increasing so the effect of btc dip is always negative on altcoins

when we talk about the altcoin; the first one come to our mind is the bitcoin, which makes him the brain of crypto money and I think it's quite normal to have pain all over body when the brain is affected and I find this as an advantage for the BTC but a bad thing for other altcoin who will always be dependent on BTC price.

Bitcoin is the centre of crypto universe, so if it price constantly goes down alts go down as well.
It is not always the case but most of the time bitcoin price affects alts price in positive way , when it is up, and negative way, when it is down.
But sometimes altcoin's price goes up even when bitcoin goes down. It means something specific happened, some news released or changes are made.
These happens to really good projects, not easy to catch such a wave indeed.

I think it is bad because every altcoin depends on Bitcoin's price. They follow it. Besides of bears and panicking people that's why the market is red now.

Bitcoin has a very determinative role in the cryptocurrency market. It can actualy move the whole market, Altcoin prices depend a lot on Bitcoin's.
A very huge determinative role indeed. Over the years, we have seen the sentiments with bitcoin and altcoin and how a lot of people perceive altcoins as distractions and a way in which some whales are just using it to feed on gullible weak hands in the market to increase their bitcoin stash. Apart from this, most of the altcoin market is tied to bitcoin as a trading pair and obviously any serious move in bitcoin either downward or upward can always affect the movement of altcoins. As long as BTC breaks certain psychological supports, it is normal to see the altcoins take the same shape. |

The answer is obvious if you are looking at the chart whenever Bitcoin price crash all the coins follows, so it is bad for altcoins if Bitcoin is dropping even if the coin is good and with good community support, everything depends on Bitcoin strength. |

When you do a lot of trades you can obviously see when bitcoin drop others will follow also. When bitcoin crash we can see the market are goes red for months now. So the impact from bitcoin market are very crucial to altcoins market health.

I think that Bitcoin drop affects all the crypto because of its dominance. But I saw some alcoins that didn't suffer when Bitcoin is dropped

Bitcoin price will always affect altcoins price due to its dominance. Because bitcoin is the head of all altcoins, now the price of bitcoin is continuously dropping this would affect some of the altcoins growth. But at the same time some altcoins have no change in its value even though the value bitcoin decrease. Better buy bitcoin or altcoin now at low value and hold it for long term that is till the market recover.
