Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.
Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.
Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

People did spam with insubstantial posts because you (even if indirectly) incentivized them to do so. Just a few examples: This Coin will obviously be a Great Success B-)

I will be trading with this coin.  Not to mention that a third (~80) of the posts in that thread were "thank yous", most of them made by you. I usually ban people who start such threads (i.e. threads were OP incentivizes people to post insubstantial posts), but in your case you offered to pay people to post their opinions about the coin, which in itself and of itself doesn't necessarily have to translate into insubstantial posts and low-value content, but altcoin board being altcoin board, this is what occurred. |

I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.
