[ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Worlds First Decentralized Game/World on the Blockchain

I was 13 hours behind in syncing.  Now, after 12 hours of syncing, I am still 5 hours behind!

Huntercoin generates too many blocks too fast.  We cannot catch up.  But I suppose it has to generate blocks fast to have decent gameplay.  I think the game is bumping up against a fundamental limit (block propagation speed).

I have downloaded version 1.0.05 - never had any other.  I have also created the .conf file.  I understand the client can take hours and hours to synch, so I would like to set it up to do this overnight.  However, I do not even have any active connections after about 15 min of waiting.  Is this normal - might it take a while before I get active connections or is this an indicator that I have not set things up properly?

Yes thanks, I had the nodes.  The problem was that I did not create the .conf file properly...it was still .conf.txt.  It has started synching now.  For anyone else as embarrassingly computer illiterate as me, to create a .conf file properly you have to Save As in note pad, then use the Save As Type: all files.  Type the name with the extension: huntercoin.conf.  That should work.

This is exciting, I can not wait to get started!

First off, thank you very much for making this coin. I have been on board since the launch and love it! great job!!

I am curious if you might have a simple solution for me.

I have been trying for two days to build the wallet and daemon on win7. It took me a long time to find the older version of MinGW that qt needed to install. I did this in a fresh install ( VM ), and made sure not to install git or github, just incase their setups could conflict. Finally, I am now able to build a stable namecoin wallet using the contrib "easy" bat files, however the same approach fails when trying to compile huntercoin.

It looks like it still can't find the libraries when trying to build the daemon or qt.

Also, since I'm looking to fork this code and dev another coin with a game in it, do you have any advice? Anything at all, but starting with your dev environment.

Thank you very much for any answer to this, I know expecting some kind of an in depth reply from you would be hoping for too much so I don't expect anything of the sort, but anything would help.

I'm having trouble opening huntercoin.  It had been working fine for days, completely updated and no problems synching. Now when I try to open it, it freezes my computer.  It freezes at the little box that says huntercoin, never even completely opens. Help?
