Hobbits- please help asking Coinedup to add our coin to their exchange.  There is a petition going at the following link, just add your comment:

Make sure to upvote too! Only 4 upvotes, it needs a lot more.

I tried compiling this, why was the Makefile removed from src/leveldb?
In case anyone else had trouble with this, I was able to get compile hobbitcoin after I copied the Makefile from https://code.google.com/p/leveldb/source/browse/Makefile

thanks, before your hint, I did not manage to compile from the source and I gave up.
Then I copied this Makefile from another coin and I was able to compile the wallet.

@dev : please update the source so the wallet can be compiled directly.

How long is it supposed to take to confirm coins???  I thought it was supposed to be fast.  At the pool http://pool.hobbit.co.in/ I have a bunch of unconfirmed coins... been mining 2 hours and nothing has confirmed yet.  Anyone else have experience with this?

Hobbits!

We have some marketing work in progress, going to be releasing some videos that will get attention of the community and beyond in the next couple of days.  Once they are out we'll post the information to share.  As always, thoughts and ideas from the realm are super appreciated and helpful

Need a new coin graphic/logo. Current one is not good IMO.

Dear Hobbits,

The journey will be long and hard. But we will reach the moons of Mordor. One coin to rule them all.

Have to be careful of copyrights and such -- the Estate of JRR Tolkien has a lot of Lawyers, Guns, and Money and loves to use them.

There is already a HobbitFundation? Otherwise someone in order to play this project? I think we should focus on dissemination of the coin, looking for a change and some social projects.

HobbitMaster pronunciate about case.

Hobbitdev- We just uploaded it to github.  It should be generated automatically from the make- all the Makefile(s) of the project are .gitignored but hopefully having this one there helps people build themselves.

so in reality, is there anything we need to worry about for using the hobbit characters from a legal standpoint?

"However the word "Hobbit" is a trademark owned by the Tolkien estate."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobbit

Basically, the same deal as with CoinyeCoin and the Tolkien estate does tend to act the same way.

Yeah... It's probably not worth worrying about.  The coin is in it's infancy and it can only grow from here!
