I am sure Max wouldn't have tanked, had it been on any exchange other than MCXNow. Having a trollbox on the exchange is death for something like Maxcoin. When the haters outweigh those who like the coin, you have no chance - after all, as Metallica once said 'an empty can rattles the most'.
Oh, I pulled my 800 Max out of MCXNow about 4 days ago, back into my wallet - it's not going to go back to the price I am willing to sell for, for a while, so I may as well keep them safely offline.
You did well, mcxnow is another a futur gox anyway, i mean, the ugly manipulation put aside, how can someone trust the "yellow" staff with his money?. They will slap the doors hard like Karpeles did. mcxnow already did it once, just a question of time now. |

The trollbox is terrible there, the mods all constantly hate on maxcoin even though it has brought a massive amount of new users to the site. There just seems to be relentless dumping from miners now and the lopsided order book is very depressing to look at. Perhaps a new maxcoin specific 'maxcoinexchange.com' is needed that Max Keiser was involved with or actively promoted. Mcxnow really is a timebomb waiting to go off. Being able to trade between maxcoin/silver/fiat from a known trusted source would be great. If there was a project on Startjoin for this and they accepted maxcoin I would throw 100 MAX at it. |

They are not heroes but bastards who 51% attacked Maxcoin at least 2 times by now. Clearly, they do not care about MAX long-term at all else they would do what BTCGuild did once they came close to 50% and that is limit hashrate. Drop miners until you are under 50% of total hashrate. But for that one must be a decent human being and be aware of things in a bigger picture. And actualy be for Maxcoin, not against it. But all in all, I can't tell who should be shot first, 1 GH guys or moronic MAX miners not understanding what they are doing by still mining at 1 GH. As for "fixed" miner, I would not be surprised if people using it end up owned by trojan, keylogger or some similar shit. You should remove (i am a fan  ) from your signature because it is so painfuly obvious by now you are either owner or a good friend of owner(s). The owner has a possibility to refuse a mining to new members on his pool, to keep the hashrate ratio within the limits, but here the only point is greed! Two weeks long 1gh has "earned" about $12,000 per day with 3%fees and 70% of total maxcoin-hashrate! We are a cash cow for him! |

my wallet is not syncing
My wallet program is not syncing as well... I traced it back to my router not setting up a UPnP port to allow a path to my PC running the wallet. The debug log says it created the UPnP port successfully though. What port should be opened up and pointed to my PC with my Maxcoin wallet? Port 8668? I tried setting it up manually but it still would not sync up to the network. I also made sure that the windows firewall wasn't interfering as well. I haven't had any problems with other cryptocurrency wallet programs before. They add their ports to my router's UPnP port list without problems. Someone please advise. Thank you! |
