I can't even find a working wallet Sad maxcoin.co.uk gives a 404 error and the one I found elsewhere can't get any blockchain. Which one works?
http://maxcoin.co.uk/downloads/wallet-windows.zip

Doesn't work on my win xp 32...

Something about msvcrt.dll error appeares

I'm just running maxciond...

Win + R > cmd > cd c:\your\maxcoind\folder

maxcoind -daemon

Pull up a second command window and change directory to maxcoind folder and you can use the api calls from here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_Calls_list

Maybe someone else can shine light on the driver error on 32b windows though.

"However, once I sat down with Stacy Herbert and heard about the unbelievable effort and technical development that was going into Maxcoin I felt reassured that this would certainly break free from the herd of teenage geek developed crypto-currencies. Whilst I didn’t understand the majority of the technical details in Maxcoin, I was impressed at how much has been learnt from bitcoin’s flaws. These have been considered in the Maxcoin design and (to a simple geek like me) have apparently set it up as a serious contender."

from http://www.maxkeiser.com/2014/02/gold-bug-gets-maxcoind/#comments

I think we need to put the truth on his comments page for everyone to see.

Is anyone else getting very high CPU load when GPU mining?
Nope.
Do you run wallet locally, and have CPU mining enabled in it?
You need to put:
gen=0

in maxcoin.conf

->> http://maxpool.sytes.net <<-
Need more workers!
0% fee, stratum, vardiff, proportional payment system
cgminer/cudamier/cpuminer supported
Correct HashRates
Based on MPOS

Nope. No CPU mining.

However cgminer.exe is using about 80-90% CPU which is very strange. But I see that some other users are reporting the same. anyone know what the cause is?

On Windows 7 btw.

I'd really like to join max.1gh pool, but I'm very concerned that so much of the coin's hashing power is concentrated there (well over 51% currently).  Is this a big deal, or am I wrong?

Max I think you are nothing more than a greedy coke snorting television propaganda whore.

I'm in the mining game for 12 months now and I have never seen such a fail launch before.

When you don't take your miners seriously how will this coin ever gain value?

You are a disgrace to the crypto community. (Quark is a scam coin and you know this stop hyping it!)

You gave the perfect example how to NOT launch a coin.

But hey, the masses have arrived, they don't care about anything but greed, they will mine this, they will even mine 10% premined coins like Nyancoin.

You should kill yourself Max. Really. Just do it.

You mad bro?

Honestly you sound like an immature teenager.

Someone explain to me how this coin is a fail launch? Even at the low prices this coin is trading for atm its still more profitable then mining any of the scrypt coins. Are the people claiming this is a fail coin just that bad at math that they can't figure it out for themselves?
