wtf is up with these bright asses who make it look like miners are getting the better end of the stick. This market is built of speculation and even miners can get the worse end of the deal. For ex doge coin was mined by many and sold at such a early price by miners and many so called "morons" bought them for 40 -50 satoshies. Many of them are laughing at miners right now probably. Also same shit for TIPS, people dumped it 5 and 6 ltc and the "morons" bought them and what happened .There are countless other examples but these are some of the few i have experienced recently. So both miners and buyers have winners and losers and morons can come from either side and thats what makes this market so fun imo.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I hear you man.  I'm just enjoying this ride while it lasts...  Difficulty low, coin value high.  Only thing better would be if it dips (temporarily) for a little while to keep additional attention away from mining for awhile.  We all saw what happened to Doge after that first week or two.  Difficulty doubled and profits tanked.

I'm just not sure what to do with my coins.  I think there's lots of potential for MAX, but I just can't see where the top could be.  We're pretty high right now, so it feels pretty right to just sell as I'm mining, but I can't help but think maybe I should hold for 0.002.  I do think we'll hit it again eventually.  Question is when.

Then again, with BTC price so depressed right now, it's not like I'm in a hurry to sell anyway.

I dont think this coin will suffer the same fate as Doge, for ONe multipools and middlecoin (big One) can start mining this and their a little learning curve to get this coin going. Also tbh maxcoin is one of the few profitable coins to mine atm. Im considering returning to max only because my card runs coolers and its a sauna in here so less profits for a more bearable atmosphere seems like a good tradeoff. Smiley

The launch of Maxcoin

This brings us nicely to possibly the biggest development in the crypto space for some time. The launch of Maxcoin, the cryptocurrency fronted by Max Keiser. This was probably one of the few success stories of the last week. For many of us non techno-heads, we failed to see the point of yet another crypto-coin. Those of us who follow and comment on monetary matters are often approached with new currencies, rarely do we see the potential in them as they come with little legacy and little else to offer that others don’t already.

However, once I sat down with Stacy Herbert and heard about the unbelievable effort and technical development that was going into Maxcoin I felt reassured that this would certainly break free from the herd of teenage geek developed crypto-currencies. Whilst I didn’t understand the majority of the technical details in Maxcoin, I was impressed at how much has been learnt from bitcoin’s flaws. These have been considered in the Maxcoin design and (to a simple geek like me) have apparently set it up as a serious contender.

Once again, there has been little talk of price in the Maxcoin community. Instead it has been about the possibilities that can arise from the currency. As with bitcoin, its ability to act as a public ledger, how the block chain can be used, how it can decentralize the internet and the financial system and (my favourite) how decentralized autonomous corporations can operate.

These new developments take crypto-currencies beyond the flash-in-the-pan, quirky and counter cultural news stories. The cryptos are undergoing significant maturations at this point. Rapid and global creative destruction is occurring in the monetary world, right in front of our eyes. Don’t blink or you’ll miss the action.

That's the kind of PR drivel that Max is capable of. I own Maxcoin myself and any pump will benefit the miners who have this coin and have not yet sold. This however is pure BS.

The [FAIL] launch of Maxcoin

The [FAIL] launch of Maxcoin, the cryptocurrency fronted pumped by Max Keiser. This was probably one of the few several success FAIL stories of the last week...unbelievable minimal effort and technical development that was going into Maxcon...
http://therealasset.co.uk/bitcoin-maxcoin/

Corrected.
"Buy my silver Keiser coins! Buy my digital Max coins!" Hahaha...

Oh and everyone who bought it while the price of Bitcoin was going down in relation to the almighty dollar, compound losses...

If you don't like Maxcoin, then simply go somewhere else like an adult.

So far quite happy with mcxNOW. Also, site is much faster than Cryptsy.
Also deposits/payouts are fast, especially compared to Cryptsy.
Tho, could have been just Doge issue with Cryptsy..
