Well you are right with your thinking and your views but I think apart from all this some other basic and important factors are here which can affect the price of bitcoin just like demand and supply, when more people buy bitcoin it makes the price high but when more people sell it so the price gets down, so supply and demand according to me are the basic things which use to effect the price.

I think one of the factors that affects the value of coin is the fake news being heard by people who holds Bitcoin and this cause a panic and sold their bitcoins because they fear that its price will fall.

I think we can agree, that while the price of Bitcoin in Fiat currency is very volatile, it's true value is constant. Unfortunately there are way more people, care about the actual Fiat price.
We have seen in the past, that media news can move the price of Bitcoin very easily, but I kindof have the feeling, that is not the case lately. Because in the current bearmarket, negative news has more effect, while the market is more resistant to positive news. Actually that is just the opposite, than the situation in the end of last year.
In the 31st of October 2017, CME announced the launch of Bitcoin Futures. The price of Bitcoin was than the same as now, around 6000$ , and we all know what happened. The price went up to 20000$, within less than 2 months. and other Altcoins made even crazier returns within this short period of time.
Now everybody is waiting for an ETF approval, after several proposal have been already rejected, or postponed. It is quite clear, that a futures based ETF will not be approved, and the CBOE is the only one right now, which has a realistic chance to be approved. The decision was postponed in august, and it is expected to hear decision from the SEC on the 30th of September, so we can schedule a big price movement that day. If it gets approved, I think there is a good chance, we will see something, like last year after the futures approval. Unfortunately, there is a good chance, that it will be postponed again, until february, and than it is hard to tell, what catalyst could cause the typical 'end of the year bullmarket' this year. Or maybe 2018 will be just a genuine bear year.

As an additional i think the factors that affects the value of bitcoin are are government regulations because some government in the country illegalized using of cryptocurrency think to them its dangerous , self regulations on internet or social media that takes firm measure against bitcoin and whole new animal means some people predict that crypto can't be success in the future.

The factors that affects the bitcoin price or value are the bitcoin users, scam coins,the waves and many things. but for me, mostly it would be bitcoin itself being there is no direct stable source of currency but just an intangible money.
