The guys in RYO are ANTI-ASIC and got the true Skillz needed to develop new unique features in crypto space.

The development of CN-GPU algo is even something that MONERO cannot achieve.

I hold RYO because i trust the developers through their actions, they all deserve credit for what they do for us.

Also everything I've seen speaks for some serious top of the line skills of the team, for example: They make XMR-STAK software, and other miners copy this code and release it as closed source miners.

Just wanna give some credit to RYO team, and don't complain that RYO code isn't open source, because then others would just steal the code.

My first post btw, cheers and good luck RYO hodl !

What makes you so sure that Monerco cannot achieve to develop a CN-GPU also? If they wanted to, I think they could do it as they have a lot of resources. Or is it technically not possible for them? I think almost anything can be done with these protocols.

Usually they react Ryo development in other way: https://ryo-currency.com/faq/#18

And CN-GPU is gpl licenced, so in theory they could take if (if they really wanted to become really GPU-oriented coin)

Regarding MONERO vs RYO proof of work, as I understand it MONERO wants to be both CPU and GPU minable, RYO doesnt care if CPU-mining is very inefficient.
MONERO can of course come up with a protection against ASICS, and FPGA abuse, but right now we are waiting for a solution.
RYO has some new hokus pokus solution to difficulty adjustment, which i dont understand. If somebody could explain this magic I would be happy.
If I understand correctly, the code for RYO is protected with RYO-Libre license for a limited time.

The team of RYO so far has listened to community, and made some wise descisions.

Improvement suggestions for future is:

-Faster transfer speed
-Web wallet (Like Masari has)
-One more exchange

Cheers!

we don't want to stimultate malware, botnets development as well as web mining which is not healthy for network and market, so we say "NO" to cpu mining, and fpga/asic mining hash centralisation.

- web wallet is ready and will be announced soon
- faster transfer speed is already sort of improved with bulletproofs. reduced tx size makes more tx-ses fit in one block (so it increases potential bandwidth)
- more exchanges and payment processors are important and we are working on it, yup

no. 588 will hash around 700-800hs

I'm seeing ~860h/s for ~105w on 3 diff model 580-8s w/ no real tuning (1250/1900 @ ~860mv) on linux.

Btw, it seems memory load is pretty minimal for this new algo?  Ramping from 1.9 to 2.0 GHz doesn't seem to have any effect on h/r, and mem clock is constantly traversing states.  If that's the case, this is significantly different behavior/signature from other CN variants, is this really a 'cryptonight' algo anymore?  Maybe it would have been more appropriate to have a new name?

860hs is a great result for this gpu. you can try slightly downvolt core and see wattage drop.
memory tweaking is absolutely useless in sense of hashrate impact

The algo was written from scratch and uses floating point32 in main cycle. It has small part from cryptonight. The algo is first in mining industry of this kind and makes asics-botnets-fpga loose sense in it.
so no dual threading in stak config, speeding up memory or flashing memory bios is required etc.

Thanks - I've sorta already stumbled across these details myself.  Looks like 1250/1000 @ 850 is about the best setup - maybe 100w, still for ~860h/s.   That's w/ mem state p2 locked out - you can lock out p1 as well, but will lose ~4% h/r all the way down at 300Mhz, and not sure what it does for power headroom.

Btw, separate q: any way to specify multiple platform indices in amd.txt config?  Have vegas and 580s on same rig, and they are assigned to separate platforms.  Otherwise, guess I'll just run separate processes...

Which miners that I should use for my rigs to mine the RYO coin to get as high hashrates as possible?
Currently vegas hash better with https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases/tag/2.8.0
the rest GPUs hash better on https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases/tag/2.8.3

when you first start - it will ask few questions and will generate all required configs.
then you might want to play around with gpu voltage and core clock to adjust power draw and noise level to fit best.
memory requires no adjustments - use only core for it.

We created 2 forms for CN-GPU results, So that you can input data when you do testing and actual mining, 🙏🏼

✅Your input will be anonymously filled in table with public acess and later used in online GPU website with help and guides.

Thank you for your time!!👍🏼💪🏼

keep balance of overclock and overvoltage. more than likely you don't want to overvolt you gpu without decent cooling
