Net Hashrate: 0.22 GH Pool Hashrate: 146.93 MH
Why are you guys still promoting your pool, when you are obviously holding more then 50% of hashrate? I dont get it.
they're not promoting. people need to move on their own. To where? We don't even know what is the correct block and the developers haven't said anything. I'm dumping this.

Coinium sent me 25 CAT while they were lagged/forked/whatever. Still hasn't shown in my wallet even though they show 6 confirms on the coinium transactions page.

that new cat diff is stupid. like big waves and when diff is high no one mines it.
You can blame the switchpools and multipools. Right now, difficulty is at 2.. Set to go back up to 200 within the next hour. What a joke. CAT deserves to die. Switchpools need to die too. Please GTFO, Your scheme is too cheap and obvious, you just want to pump and dump as some did before you. I'm sure that most people around here have noticed this, but just for the sake of those who don't understand, if this guy didn't have interesset in this coin and want to make easy and fast money out of it, then he woudn't be bothering to spam every single page of this thread after the fork. As for the diff, I've been monitoring it this couple of days, and been switching pools and trying to understand what's the matter, I've done some simulations under matlab, I understand more or less, the jerky reaction of the network despite the new parameters, so here is my analysis : 1-Profitibility pools don't switch to the most profitable coin instantly, they keep mining coin, as long as it has a decent profitibality, and I think this allows this pools to mine for a certain amount of time 2-Despite the 1 Block diff change, the value that wasn't taken in consideration is the 10min target time, (this value cannot be changed is a core value of the coin) but I think the importance of this, is that unlike other coins with very quick block target time, our value gives the time to huge brandwidt to join in and keep mining, while the 12% limite was supposed to limite the inflantion both ways, the delayed reaction of profitability pool, cause them to join once the diff is really low and leave once it is considerably high and leaving the coin with block time in hours. So tl,dr the new fork parameters doesn't work as perfectly because profitabilty pools don't just switch in the exact instant the coin becomes the most profitible and leave the instant it is the most profitable but keep mining for a while. This doesn't mean the fork failled, it is not the case, the situation is better than what it was a few days ago when were stuck with high diff for a long periode of time, it's just that it doesn't work perfectly and nothing is perfect. What I suggest, is too keep the dev work on going and lets think about solutions to keep the coin healthy, I'm still thinking gravity well is a good solution, but we should study before hand if it possible to implement it, and how it can interact with our long block target time

Everyone - it's really important that you check your catcoin.conf and make sure it has node addresses to known good nodes. We're having some instability because there are still too many new wallets without catcoin.conf files, and too many old wallets pointing to the old chain.
Please add these nodes to your wallet or catcoind either by adding them to the catcoin.conf and restarting, or by adding them manually in the command line.

First difficulty oscillation: BOTTOM 1, TOP 139 Second diff oscillation: BOTTOM 1.19, TOP 79
GOING DOWN
The system is very underdamped, but should still reach equilibrium before too long. If a couple of two-hour block times happen every day it is at least usable. The 12% limit is too large... at least for increases. It allows a 60x retarget in only 36 blocks.

If it's less the swings will be worse because the hashrape will last longer and the difficulty will be higher at the peak. If it's more they will also be worse, because it will allow the difficulty to jump TOO fast.

Where where you the past month when we were actually testing this? Keep in mind, everybody, that we are 35 days old, the original dev basically dropped everything on the community, and we had to pick-up the dev process from scratch while building a new team in the middle of a crisis. CAT's in very good hands, the community is stronger than ever, the PR folks are kicking ass, and we've been recognized by an Oprah reality show. Yes, we still have the seat belt sign fastened - we're not in smooth air yet - but we're alive, we're growing, and we're standing up to hopping pools - and we no longer need to extend our claws to hang-on. Life's good and getting better, Catfolks! Andy

Well looks like the difficulty didn't go anywhere near as high this time around.

I'm in the same place - no confirms from the overnight mining. A couple hours ago we had to re-synchronize some of the pools because there are still too many nodes 'out in the world' using old code. It will help support the network if everyone makes sure they have good nodes in their catcoin.conf and keep your wallet's running. But if you're on latest wallet, then I hear you don't need the Catcoin.conf right? Especially since I'm on latest wallet and don't have a .conf. You didn't 'hear' that here as we've asked about 4 times now to get a catcoin.conf with good nodes in it. In a perfect world with the entire catcoin network on the same code and the same chain, we can rely on DNS to find good nodes - because they're all good. But that's not where we are right now - and it's important to temporarily manually build a strong, resilient, web of known good nodes. Yes - add good nodes. Anyone running 'naked' right now is a potential problem. addnode=eu.coinium.org:9933 addnode=us.coinium.org:9933 addnode=teamcatcoin.com:9933 addnode=108.54.144.63:9933 addnode=209.162.15.139:9933 addnode=94.134.24.71:9933 addnode=188.230.218.60:9933 addnode=123.211.181.88:9933 addnode=172.245.21.138:9933 addnode=50.162.94.94:9933 Note: If you downloaded one of the windows wallet packages, you have a catcoin.conf in the package - just move it to appdata/roaming/catcoin/catcoin.conf and restart the wallet.
