Hi,
A fairly basic question here but I just want to be sure. I have wallet 8.9 and it's showing up to date with all coins intact. There's no chance I have coins from a wrong fork in this wallet, correct? As I understand it, that wouldn't be possible, but I just want to check. I can proceed to upgrade to 8.9.10 without any concerns?
Thank you in advance for your help-
Back up your whole catcoin directory first! But, if your wallet is the same block number as http://catstat.info , you should be just fine to update to the latest version. New windows wallets are being posted as I am typing this!

Coins lost in the translation from coinex.pw on coinedup.com, please help, here is a transaction number
28288525 9 days ago Withdrawal | 126.90758956 CAT Destination: 9VaLsLAZnrrRom2i8rHXKxDLmechsivMvV TXID: a82e0e4579dd9d0db23ffb3f273fe44c1d8d5e197a994c3698187604ab5385b8
On coinex.pw sent to the developers, where they could gulf coins? Here's what they said to me: can you check if the receiving client is on the right chain?
look at irc channel in freenode #catcoin-dev and ask what the right chain is.

Hey,
I'm mining at your pool but the coins i mine seem to get stuck at estimate? Where normall when a block is done the coins go from estimate to un-confirmed.
Hey, it's just we did not hit a block recently, so there is no coins to confirm... _TQ

Coinex fixed their fork before the new software was released, and they've been active with the developers. I expect you'll receive your coins from them. Give all the pools and exchanges some time, however, because they must first upgrade their pools, then calculate any losses, then work with Hozer to claim our insurance. Once the pools are paid, you will be paid. Save a full copy of your catcoin folder first, and then upgrade to the V8.9.10 wallet and let it synchronize with the network. If your coins don't appear, then check with the insurance thread here: http://www.reddit.com/r/catcoins/comments/1y2eg6/aye_maties_raise_the_jib_and_ready_the_checkpoint/Andy

Did CRYPTSY upgrade their wallet? I cannot deposit coins into my CRYPTSY account.
Guys, please - it's only been a couple of hours! Give them time to sort things out! I did receive a 10 cat test withdrawal from Cryptsy about 30 minutes ago - so that's progress. This isn't going to be instant. Andy edit... the first 10 CAT transfer was instant...unfortunately the 130 that followed that successful transfer were not. I chalked those coins as 'lost' some time ago. If they show up, they're going to Johnny for the Diamond Collar. If they don't, 140 will go to Johnny anyway.

Ok, so I mined 1040 catcoins in the first days/weeks it was released. I mined to a wallet on a computer here at home. Some weeks later I decided to install another wallet on another computer with fresh wallet there. Then moved the coins to this wallet. Everything was ok. I checked on my coins from time to time and refreshed the blockchain. (Stopped mining after the first week). Q: Yesterday I was checking on my coins: 1 CAT? I think this is from sort of early giveaway.. Anyway now I have synced and I only have 1 CAT. What could be the cause of this? /Thanks, Magnus Edit: Cleaned my Appdata folder and reloading blockchain for starters. Edit2: Nope, no coins..

Sadly, not yet. I've got about 1/2 of one now and hope to be able to deploy it this week. Should be doable now that the release wallets are on the streets.

This shouldn't be related in any way to the fork problems. Make a backup copy of all of your catcoin folders, then try this (at your own risk, please - I've not tried this): https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/170993-3-methods-for3 methods for recovery Modified on: Mon, Feb 17, 2014 at 11:20 PM
First try running the RPC command repairwallet. This can be done via the console in your wallet. Navigate to Help/ Debug Window / Console.
This command will look for any bad transactions but may not work as your wallet likely still sees the transactions as good
If that doesn't work a redownload of the blockchain may correct this
Lastly a fail safe method
First your going to want to dump the private key of your wallet run the command dumpprivkey followed by your address
You will want to save a copy of the key and a backup of your wallet.
Then close your client and leave it closed for some time. At least a few hours. This will give any bans you may have received from being on the bad fork time to expire
If you have a backup of your wallet.dat then go ahead and delete everything in your appdata/roaming/CoinName folder
Then restart the wallet and let it download the chain until synced
Once synced run the command importprivkey followed by your private key
This is a method I found myself. It removes all the transactions from the wallet and when its imported it can only find whats in the blockchain. So the coins you sent are no longer sent and should be in your wallet.
Let me know if this helps

Without data it's just an opinion - how do you know, mac? Updated wallet means correct block chain - that was sorta the whole point of this exercise.
