I can't get the MacOSx version of the client to open, it downloads and installs (2.0.6) but then says "spectrecoin cannot be opened because of a problem." I am on MacOS High Sierra, not sure if that is the issue or not though.

I don't have a discord account so was hoping it's something silly I'm doing wrong that can be helped by someone here.

This, same thing for this MacOSx user....??

Much,much more to come....
better to join the Spectrecoin discord community where you can see first hand the happenings.
Everyone who's anyone is there!

Discord is a closed book community so it's not good for marketing. It would be better to publish info here as well so non XSPEC users can see what is going on. Comparing verge with XSPEC you can see the importance of marketing. XVG is nothing compared to XSPEC in terms of technology, but they are higher up due to real world marketing, exchanges, and partnerships.

Hi, I'd like to stake spectrecoin, but I'm concern with the fact that wallets might have trojan horses in them.

I would use the linux version of the wallet, that I think is less riskier but, it is still risky.

Does anyone here have a good understanding on how to effectively be sure that the wallet does not have trojan horses in them? Thanks!

well, if you're that scared of wallets.....maybe you shouldn't even try any crypto wallet.
But leaving any coin on an exchange carries far more risk.

On a serious note; if you have an active community and a coin like Spectrecoin that has been around since 2016 you can be pretty sure that someone would have picked up on malicious activity by now.

I’ve been staking for about 6 months and haven’t found any issues to date so you don’t have to worry.

What is the average daily / weekly payout if you stake 1000 coins? If you stake other coins at the same time on the same computer will it cause any problems? Spectrecoin has been around since 2016 but still hardly anyone knows about it. I doubt people browse discord looking for cool channels

What is the average daily / weekly payout if you stake 1000 coins?

The payout is a minimum of 5% per year, you can make the calculation for yourself. 50 coins per year, so with a reward size of 2 coins roughly one stake reward every two weeks. (or 1 XSPEC per week on average)

If you stake other coins at the same time on the same computer will it cause any problems?

No.

Well, like most crypto projects this one is still in development. So if someone is interested in getting a closer look, he/she can join Discord.

What is the average daily / weekly payout if you stake 1000 coins?

The time in [months] is practically the best choice, in [days] it really does not make much sense, with the exception that you have a Q amount astronomical of XSPEC.
My friend @Cuantic ended the formula that I started a few posts before, you can see here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4434053.msg43237170#msg43237170

I must also add that the value obtained is the minimum that will be obtained, normally it will be something greater than the one that results from the formula:
(G = 1000/240)

Thanks for all the staking info, i was just looking at approximate numbers so a ball park figure is something like 1 XSPEC per week per 1000 coins being staked. XSPEC is cheap at the moment so it's good to compare these figures to see if it's worth buying more in order to collect additional coins via staking

Why are not you on social networks? In the end, social networks will give you a huge spread. Or you just want anonymity. Don't you need to promote your coin?
