If I understand it well, for stealth addresses one can't use dumpprivkey in order to back the wallet up and the only way is to use the Backup Wallet option?

You can only dump public address's keys. Which isn't really a recommened practise if you make regular transfers, as the wallet creates a new change address with each transfer.
However, v4.1 introduced MNEMONIC seed words when you set-up a new wallet. Thats recommended alongside backing-up your wallet.dat file.

Thanks for your answer. I created the wallet and now I'd like to transfer coins from the old one. I have most of the SPECTRE coins locked in stake category, even though I disabled staking. I guess, I just need to wait for a while until they appear as available?

Right, it takes some time. Anyway the mnemonic seed is really a cool feature!
Edit: Everything looks good except for staking. I'm getting this message
Code:
Not staking because wallet is locked
How can I unlock the wallet? I somehow can't see any such option.

Check under options, if staking is enabled.
As well you have a little lock icon on the top right. When you hover over it, it should say: "wallet is locked". By pressing on it, it will ask for your password if you set one to unlock it.

It is enabled. Where should I see the lock icon? I see the same 4 icons as here https://spectreproject.io/images/spectrecoin_client.jpg
The 2nd one says "Not staking because wallet is locked" when I hover over it, but it doesn't seem to be clickable.

restarting a QT wallet often fixes things with one that has a known large user base like the
Spectrecoin wallet. Good to hear you got things straightened out.

Great newsletter, thanks to the team for their ongoing efforts and good attitude once again! https://news.spectreproject.io/january-2020/

Regarding the "marketing funding" section, maybe it would make sense to approach VCs or business angels from the traditional investing world? This is a very attractive offer for an extremely small amount of money, and you might get other benefits such as an improved social network, visibility, marketing advice, organizational support, possibly additional (voluntary) funding and so on.  Smiley

I noticed that the link on the bottom now says "https://twitter.com/Spectrecoin", but the HTML link still goes to https://twitter.com/SpectreCash. Should be easy to fix.

Just via email or contact form usually. Here are some example links to get you started:

Back then I sent XSPEC to default stealth address, so they became SPECTRE. When I checked the wallet now, I saw a tiny fraction of the amount in stake balance, the rest in available balance. I guess that means I'm only staking the small part. Why is it so?

You always stake all your coins, unless not all coins are mature, staking is disabled, or you reserve an amount of coins not to stake.
There is an icon top right where you see the amount of coins that are staking from your wallet unless they are in cool down/maturing.

Currently all the coins are shown as available, but yes, I see my staking weight is the total amount I have, so it's OK

Great to see that there is still good progress and a lot of interest in this project. I really hope spectre can gain some attention in the next bull run, because i think anonymous coins will have a very bright future. Is there a actuel roadmap or something like that? Are there some nice feature in the developement right now? Maybe someone can give me a short information summary.
