That was a mistake on the CMC's end. They initially priced Gratz at ~$6 for some reason and after we contacted them corrected the price. You can see the real Gratz history chart here:

You borrowed those tokens when you opened the account. The term to return 3.5 XLM was 7 days. If you didn't pay them back yet your wallet was probably deactivated. You can reactivate your wallet any time by logging in with your credentials and borrow again. Once you borrow you have to fund your account with 3.5 XLM in 7 days and the funds will be automatically deducted from your account activating it permanently.

This old thread was for Gratzio, the original idea of a peer-to-peer marketplace for real-world tasks and favors.

The project is now live again under the shorter name Gratz, but the bigger change is not the name. The system has been rebuilt around decentralization:

• requests are posted on a live map
• users can offer cash, GRAT, crypto, or barter
• crypto-based requests can use escrow-style settlement
• core actions are signed by users and recorded on-chain
• there is no central marketplace database controlling listings
• reputation follows the user wallet

The simple idea stayed the same:

Request anything. Anywhere. Locals make it happen.

Someone needs a delivery, errand, photo, ride, help at a location, local pickup, or something done remotely in another city. They post it on the map. A nearby person accepts it, completes it, and gets paid directly.

GRAT remains the Stellar-native token used in the Gratz network. It is not just a “payment coin” inside the app. It is also used as the on-chain signal that marks Gratz activity without depending on a private backend.

This is still early and we are bringing the network back step by step, but the app is live again and the direction is much clearer now than it was in the old Gratzio days.
