How are the coins going to be distributed to the people of iceland. Also would everyone in that country need to have the wallet to use them. How will you keep track to see who has gotten them. I'm curious because this has true potential, but march 25 might be to soon.

This willl end in a HUGE SCAM! Just wait and see!

Joe Manchin? Is that you?  Grin

Anyway who is to know what is in people's hearts, I remember doge was called a scam endlessly 2 months ago and here the owner went and turned down a $500k offer from business entities. I doubt many who toss around the scam card so easily would have hands that strong!

I think we need a FAQ we can copy-paste on every page.

EDIT: Would write it up myself but I'm just too tired. Sad

I wish I could short this coin. It will plummet so quickly.
I wish you could short it too.  It would be fun to see the shorts get squeezed like there is no tomorrow.

I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is -- is there a way I can short with you? You interested?

If this coin is a scam the dev can make around 105000 BTC if he sells all the coins at 0.01BTC
if it's not a scam and he pulls this one out 1 AUR will be much higher and just imagine how many small countries will search for him to make their own crypto

In the long run he has much more to win than in the short run!

Space for rent if its still trending

Knowing how it would be distributed should of been one of the first things specified. Like just in the OP or on the website

Sure!  Do you want to do a gentleman's agreement or would you like a trusted 3rd party to hold the coin?

Yeah. A FAQ page with the link on the OP would be beneficial and declutter this thread. Also if everyone in iceland need a wallet they would all need to keep constant internet connection to use it. A central place that could keep all of the AUR desginated to the people and cash it out the same place so they wont need to use the wallet.

The amount of delusional thinking here is crazy. I can't even begin to understand how someone could think that not only will Iceland adopt a crypto as its official currency, but other small countries will contract the developer to do the same. 105000 BTC is like $60 million....pretty sure he'd go for that (though, any fundamental understanding of markets will tell you that there's no way he's going to get that much...but whatever).

You've only been a member of this forum for five days hammer1 and everything has to do with Auroracoin.  Why are you so angry about it?  Smiley

Let's organize it through PM.

And I'm not angry about it at all, I think it's a rather clever pump and dump. It's just funny to me how delusional greed makes people. The fact that anyone thinks there's any chance of Iceland adopting it as its currency is so far beyond the pale it's ridiculous.

There is a difference between naiveté and criminal behavior. If there is anything I've figured over the years is that programmers, many of whom fall on the end of the autistic scale or have Aspergers (I count myself among one of those), have really great ideas but sometimes poor execution. This is why it was a bad idea for people like Mark Karpeles to have any authority over other people's money, they may be great programmers but are terrible businessmen. It probably won't work in the end but that doesn't mean the creator is out to rip people off either.

Sounds good.  I'll let you come up with the idea then I'll agree to or edit it and we'll go back and forth.  I look forward to your PM.

If you people would read the first post.

Once the Auroracoin site is back up, after all this sudden interest (coinmarketcap sure isn't helping), you can check out http://auroracoin.org/blueprint.php
It describes the airdrop process.

EDIT: And please.. the Dev or Devs could never simply sell 10.500.000 coins. Don't be so idiotic.

Diff is definitely going to spike, being number 4 on Coinmarketcap and going up... this is drawing a LOT of attention (mining wise and every other damn way).

I transferred some AUR a few hours ago and had no problem with confirmations.

EDIT: It just went over 0.02 BTC per AUR on both markets!
EDIT2: Holyshitballs, 0.026 BTC..

Their gravity well ain't working correctly, i assume. Transferring coins is a pain now. Stuck at block 3519 for over 20 mins. Well, at least it's keeping this coin rare Wink
