That is wrong idea my friend Smiley look at new projects on http://auroraspjall.is/. Also developers from Poland working now for new game like metin style where auroracoin be payment solutions. I can't tell anything more about it at this time. Be patient.

The auroracoin blockchain is frozen at 10570. Also the network hashrate is frozen at 7.36 GH/s.
Does anyone know what's going on?

Oh wow. Difficulty started exploding March 8th. (from ~90 to ~500)

Now we seem to be stuck, maybe because that huge mining power left?

(hashrate isn't frozen, it just can't be calculated without new blocks)

Guess we need some benevolent miner to throw some hashing at it.

This coin needs to be fixed, stat.

Just move the price up on cryptsy substantially and pools might hop to AUR. Difficulty is extremely high, though. Can someone calculate at what price we might get some hashpower?

I'm throwing 100 200 MHash/s on the problem for a while.

Not sure that will solve it.

we found a block

reducing hashrate...

EDIT: turns out it was me who found the block and the next one, too.

difficulty back to 89

BTC ~0.02 well invested, I would say ;-)

EDIT2: oh wow, and due to the lower difficulty the pool I mine in (hamsterpool) hops on the coin with 2GH/s (it didn't mine the coin before, I was the only one mining it)

I'm working on updating Auroracoin from the current core to the latest bitcoin core with a better difficulty retargeting implemented. That should take care of these kind of problems.

Great work Molecular, thanks for solving the problem. To prevent this kind of problem the coin has to be mergemined, like Skarfur pointed out.
