3 hrs and my deposit to cryptsy still not confirmed 2/3 wtf seriously?
I think everyone is refreshing their balance page, loading live data, and DDoS'ing the site while they are busy killing MySQL and the hard drive. Hope they have SSDs.

what is there to explain? it's arbitrage but i've never seen such a huge gap. They keep selling at .13 -.14 when mintpal is already trading at .16-.17 since an hour ago. if not for these idiots auroracoin would be at .20 already.
thats the crazy thing about cryptocurrency exchanges, it's different than forex/stocks because the prices on each exchange are not linked to one another.

Depositing to Cryptsy can take ages compared to proper exchanges such as Mintpal. There is a lack of buy support on Cryptsy due to its deposit issues.

price is going up like a lot still, I think it is a total scam coin, no backing up by the government, just some dude saying he will give it away, but no good plan to make sure it will happen correctly. still... the price was going up like steadily, so I bought in for $100 USD. Immediately the exchange prices plummeted and I wanted to panic sell. After a long ride (and I am assuming more speculators jumped in) the price was up. Went to sell in small amounts and as I did so the price just kept on dropping. Finally when I sold all, the price shot back up. Very suspicious. Anyway, it was at least kind to me, but it really seems like this is a massive scam and the people putting in last will be left wondering what happened. For sure the dump will start before the actual drop as the drop will mean a massive dump, but how long before? At least today was okay.

my friend, you need to learn some basics of stock trading, it's similar. If you buy at the peak of course it's going to drop. If you think the price is too high and people are starting to sell off large amounts, wait for it to come back down, because it always will. How do you tell where is the peak? For one, pay attention to the supply and demand amounts, and the velocity of the buy/sell transactions.

interesting can anyone please explain this ? because it can take way over an hour to move the coin and by then the price has reached parity. i've been waiting 1hour and half for my pending aurora to confirm on the mint right at the moment.

Why are people who are not familiar with day trading suddenly complaining it doesn't work out for them. I am glad for you it worked out nicely today, but seriously, buying in just because you fear missing out and panic selling as soon as it drops ? That is how you lose money my friend (The Noobs way!) My play? Keep my 2000+ coins and contribute to its success! For sure I will sell some before airdrop at 0,4 or so (just as an insurance), but I will keep the bulk long term. Either you believe in the coin or you don't, if the latter, then just leave it alone!

Sigh...the problem with the high confirmation times lies not with the exchanges!! This coin is being "raped" by the multipools like Wafflepool et al, they mine when difficulty is low until it goes up again, then leave waiting for the difficulty to drop again. Before that happens the coin is being mined with much less hashpower and so the generation of new blocks (including our transactions) takes ages. And you can blame the multipools but it is actually a designflaw of AUR itself getting corrected by implementing KGW which becomes active at block 5400. Generation of the last block took more than 2 hours. See: http://blockexplorer.auroracoin.eu/chain/AuroraCoin?hi=4091&count=20

2000 coins? nice. What was your hashrate / coins per day? When did you start mining?
this coin launched in Feb 2nd right? Back then with a few thousand hash you could mine a couple hundred a day?
--ah yea i had a feeling the multipools had something to do with the conf times
