Had more time to study the source code of Riecoin this weekend for a few hours.
The more I look through it the more I like it.
Great work so far , a standout for sure.
It is one of the few coins that has a unique proposition and is not spoiled by a GPU miner or a fake CPU coin to be replaced with GPU quickly after launch. Have thought about mining it?

The best part of RIC is that even if the BTC rate doesn't recover as well you can still mine it with even the most semi-recent of CPU's. I have some old Q6600 quad cores, an i5 2500k and a few others mining and while it might not be energy efficient in everyone's situation you can still mine and invest in a coin - how many others can you do that with now?

If BTC exchanges go down, crypto is dead overall....not just riecoin. Bitcoin is like the leader right now unfortunately. PBOC ban on bitcoin just strengthen my confidence in cryptos being the future.

What Riecoin needs right now is a PR drive. I have an idea, sorry if its something that's been discussed previously.
How about getting in touch with multiple universities around the world, particularly those who specialise in maths and computer science? Arrange a record attempt on a certain day, where all of the participating universities dedicate computing resources to mining Riecoin, in an attempt to create some record breaking numbers.
If chosen carefully, there may be a day coming up which is already notable for other reasons (perhaps a famous mathematician's birthday, for example) which could help get more uptake from the educational establishments. The only problem with doing it on too popular a day is that your press releases beforehand and/or on the day get lost in the noise - for a famous mathematical date, however, that will be less of a concern (than if trying to capitalise on the Superbowl, for example!).
Something like this could get some real coverage and wouldn't be entirely impossible to plan and enact. A bit of setup, then an initial press release name dropping the biggest universities who are involved - this would prob help get a few more on board. Then a push to get coverage on the day (maybe a recognized radio show or podcast hosted from one of the participating unis).. and then, another press release, in an attempt to get some column inches once the inevitable records are broken.
For the icing on the cake, get everyone participating to donate their mined proceeds to a charity involved with education of underprivileged youngsters.
Just a thought..

This is an excellent idea, and would definitely help get the word out and get some serious media attention. The records alone would be enough to get good press, but getting a bunch of universities together to throw some computing power at the problem would definitely raise the profile as well. It may also get a bunch of students interested in Riecoin who wouldn't have otherwise heard of it - and university students tend to have the time, finances, and optimism to be early adopters and get involved with something like this. September 17 (Riemann's birthday) would be a good date to target - far enough out to get organized, get lots of people notified and get a buzz going, not far enough out to be completely out of sight/out of mind. Perhaps starting by emailing the relevant student clubs/organizations at the target universities would be a good place to start - they are usually well stocked with the keenest students who are more directly connected to faculty members and may be better placed to plead the case to the people who could actually get this done rather than having the request be sent into the HR/PR black hole that most universities use as gatekeepers. EDIT: September 17 is also a couple of weeks after classes start in many places - enough time to get people involved last-minute when they get into school, and before they get hammered with assignments, midterms, projects, etc.

Yes we are definitely starting down this path. I am in contact with Sam Houston State University for American Mathematical Monthly right now and we need to be able to submit scientific journal quality information to them. I'm working on what that might look like but they were interested and entertained the idea at least!
Speaking of which I need Gatra to PM me about this...I'm guessing he is one could handle this?

Wow, you sir need a cookie. Idk what you have been eating this week, some good omega 3 fish and some super brain food. You have single handedly solved PR issue in one strike. The idea is, like...SIMPLE AS HECK yet completely effective! Standford ...go get stanford on riecoin...

Also I have tried to withdraw the riecoin but it says
Error! Invalid withdraw address specified for this coin. Please try again.
I input the address on riecoin foundation.

I see that they didn't cover anything related to KGW TW exploit/attack (see BCX against Auroracoin) .. better to stick with BTC or LTC retargeting algo.

Yup. Its a great idea! The foundation will attempt at this as soon as we get an idea of the budget we are working with. Right now, it is just independent work from foundation members. I know one is working on block explorer and paper wallet for Riecoin and another is working on a faucet.

Since there's a gpu miner for XPM now, it would be conceivable that RIC is new for a gpu miner.
dga doesn't already have a ric cuda miner. There's a CUDA miner for it already? Any in works for AMD cards?
