Can't we get KGW update implemented sooner? We're doing roughly 600blocks daily, that means we will hit 1318XX block in 12 days. After that you will implement KGW, and that will take another 20days to take effect? Are we stuck in this multipool rape for another 30 days? That can possibly kill us. I suggest to kick KGW in now, and make KGW, block rewards and times to kick in at let's say 127k block (3-5 days from current 124k block).

This.

I do not agree that this will kill the coin - just slow it down a bit (seriously - Fedora and Moon and even Cat Coin, one of the most f'd up launch and relaunches are still alive). Your suppositions ignore a few important things. The changes (whether they come through in 3 or 12 days) slow down the rate of coin release, meaning you need twice the hashing power for the same number of coins. Additionally, retarget time is every 60 blocks. Yes, if the multipools hit us it will cause a yoyo (60 blocks super fast, 60 blocks painfully slow while the hashpower plummets). The big question is whether the multipools will go away with the new changes that effectively halve the block reward (by extending the target block time) and only give them a 60 block opportunity to make profit. Maybe they will and this change solves nothing. But with all the other coins out there, this change may be the first step towards stabilization. I wish the KGW was implemented initially (see my post in the original kitteh thread from January 7th where I told the devs as much and provided a link to the sourc code), but in lieu of that happening, this is not a bad start.

I agree, I stopped mining because of the strip mining. Please implement KGW ASAP.

Have to admit, I have been loyal until now, but beginning to get worried, the price is falling and so are our investments, I am really tempted now to sell at a loss, unless someone can give me a good reason to keep holding. Cry Huh

sell now and cry later....you cant expect to instantly make huge profits. there are going to be bumps in the road along the way. the dev team has accomplished quite a bit in a short period of time. this coin is here to stay.

I bought again @57 and I will keep holding although it makes me sad that the dumps keep happening! It shouldn't have come to Cryptsy before the KGW and block halving.

What is important is the substance behind this coin, which is has plenty of.  Freaking out because it doesn't go to the moon in a week or two is a symptom of the altcoin landscape and internet attention span syndrome.  Doge spiked and then fell way down for awhile...lower than Kitteh is now...before it ranked back up to its relatively stable point today.  Hell, Bitcoin had barely any value for years.

What you need to determine is whether you feel the value and quality of the coin is worthwhile, personally, not speculatively.  If so then hold and continue to invest.

I'm in the same boat as you in terms of diminished investment value, FOR NOW; however, in the real scheme of things it will not be too long before all the pieces have come together and the engine begins to purrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Hold and you won't be sorry.  Sell and you'll kick yourself not only for selling at a loss but for missing out on its upswing.

I'm staying in Kitteh long term.  I might cash out a little bit on the upswing but my main holdings I plan to use toward commerce, charity, and longer term stores of value.  I know I won't be disappointed, this is an awesome coin.  I have not ever so far, dealing in cryptos, come out with less than what I invested, and I'll tell you I have am investing A LOT in Kitteh.

Don't be short sighted--that kind of mentality is precisely what leads to Maxcoin fiascos, and it doesn't help the general cryptocurrency emergence anyway.

Go do something useful and come back in a couple weeks or even months--read a book, exercise, attend something you've been putting off.  Kitteh is fine and not going anywhere.

Hey, I made a deposit yesterday. It took aprox. 8 hours.

Anyway I opened a ticket after 2 hours. I went to sleep and when I woke up the coins were there. Smiley

Hello Kitteh Community,

Owner of https://CryptX.io here.

Thanks for the support you guys have shown over the past 24 hours. You're already the second most traded coin on CryptX with over 2.1 Bitcoin worth of MEOW traded since I put it up on the site.

I'm looking forward to growing alongside all of you

Cheers,

Nick

I have a new tactic, I put my "change" at a buy order of 0.00000050 it is what I gain from selling other coins. (just dust that collects on mining sites)
Not much, when it sells I put next order at 0.00000060 ect ect ect. Keeps the coins moving.
Right now only issue I see with coin, is lack of miners, even if low pay the mining keeps the coin healthy.
No miners means no blocks found, ect ect ect .

Does anyone know how long it takes for a deposit from a local wallet to cryptsy takes? I deposited some MEOW from my windows wallet to my cryptsy wallet and it still hasn't shown up. This was over 12 hours ago. Here is my transaction info: http://kittehcoinblockexplorer.com/tx/020353a027b2a0dc82ddfaafab20db12aa6073d29887356a6e474e04222814e9

I'm not really sure what that all means so I was hoping someone could explain it to me.
