I think its true that bounty campaigns are extending because they do not achieved the softcap that makes investors to lost their interest investing in ICO. This is also the reason why people lose their trust in joining or participating in ICOs because we cannot assure if it will be successful.

Well bounties are only extended if ICO did not raise fund and project core team think they need more promotion , so bounty is increased . now if we ask why ICO are not much successful then one of the reason is scam ICOs as you mentioned but good projects also could not complete hardcap so reason is bear market . in such market why people will want to invest their many in completely new project unless they are assured of big return .

There are only two reasons why these bounty campaigns or ICO's are extending which neither they dont able to reach the minimum cap where they do decide either to extend or would completely stop but most of bounty campaigns as of now are extending.

Second possible reason is that most bounties are extending when the market is on dump situation just like on the last or previous project i had joined up they extend because of the current situation or price of ETH which do definitely affects.

Bounty campaigns are extending because they do not achieved the softcap and they think they could achieved it if they extend the bounty campaigns. Many investors lost their interest in investing in ICO because of this cases that is why it is risky to participate in bounty campaigns.

That's true. Because of this time compression many ICOs get extended as they feel they can still reach their caps if they'd stay a couple months longer because initially the work or complexity of the task was underestimated.

For 2018 invested money in ico more than in 2017. Many extend campaigns even with the collected softcap because they understand that their project is not sufficiently in demand, and when entering the market, the price of the token or coin is dropped strongly down.

Projects are not getting funded. And not reaching soft cap at their projected time. They have no any other option than to expect sales period. Once sales period is extended, the campaign period would be extended too.
