Ethereum is better than Bitcoin?

Ethereum might has more features and bigger ecosystem, but it will hardly ever replace Bitcoin. If I had to choose the cryptocurrency to invest in for a long term and had a choice between BTC and ETH, it would be Bitcoin.

That is why BTC has great potential compared ETH is quite good well but not too good when compared to BTC right, the comparison is very far but if ETH is compared to other ALT well ETH really has the potential cause we all know he is number two at top market.

Base in my assessment on this one some community said that in terms of Ethereum usages it is much more better than Bitcoin. But even Eth is much more better in terms of usages, still Bitcoin prevails in terms of price value in the market. In short, most of the investors in all over the world are still embraced to hold Bitcoin compared to Ethereum.

Ethereum is a platform for altcoins, and this is very clever so ethereum is familiar with other altcoins, while bitcoin is the parent of all coins, which are very well known before ethereum was born and bitcoin has the highest price among the other coins

i guess in the future, ETH may be stronger than BTC but it will take a very long time before the world can change and bring ETH become more value than BTC, rightnow ETH is at the second just after BTC and too small market cap when compared with BTC, moreover BTC can still have more trusts from investros for longterm so it is hard for ETH to take BTC place soon, we should keep investing ETH until it better in the future.

you can not compare these 2. ethereum and bitcoin is not same things. ethereum provides a platform and a blockchain solutions for other project. it haws been really very useful for the ecosystem. there are still so many projects that running using ethereum based erc20 tokens.

Comparing Ethereum to bitcoin is an apples and oranges comparison. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency with quintessential decentralization whereas Ethereum is a smart contract platform primarily. They both have their strengths and weaknesses and will coexist. There is room for more than one cryptocurrency within this ecosystem.

maybe that's because ethereum has a smart contract with several different ico projects with bitcoin that don't have the advantage of what ethereum has, but I think both of these coins have promising prospects and cannot be compared as a whole, it's better to invest in both. this is good for the long term

Ethereum is good enough but you can't say that it is the better than Bitcoin. Because, Bitcoin is the pioneer in this digital coin concept. Still, the Bitcoin is representing the index of the whole market and it will be forever. Ethereum is the father of the all the cryptocurrency as it is given birth to all other token on it's blockchain. This is the unique feature of the Ethereum but at the same time it is insecure also. Ethereum has better usability than bitcoin because  of its smartcontract capabilities but on the other hand bitcoin is the first and it has better, stronger community backing it up so I think they are both better since they both have something to offer ,as an investor it will be better to own both crypto

These two coins all have different strengths. And as you say, after a time of excellence because of new technologies from ETH, other altcoin also offer such technologies with an introduction of superiority. As for Bitcoin, it is always a coin with an old technology, but it makes the market rise or fall with it

I don't think that Ethereum is better than bitcoin because if it is better than bitcoin then it should be at the top 1 and a lot of people will be discussing about how good ethereum is but there are no sign of that. Ethereum is just an altcoin which has different purpose compare to bitcoin. Every cryptocurrency has different purpose and usage and we should not try to compare them unless they are aligned in same category of usage.

Ethereum surely has some features that makes it better to use than bitcoin. Consider how fast Ethereum network is than bitcoin and also how other applications can be built on top of the Ethereum network. Brian Kelly, from his point of view, points out the following reasons:

👉1. Ethereum Futures Contracts
First, Kelly believes that Ethereal futures contracts or ETH Futures will soon be launched, as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially decided that the Ether is not a security. This action has removed the biggest obstacle for Ethereum – The 2nd ranked coin in market capitalization to institutional investment.
However, what Kelly does not mention is that launching the Future Ethereum could more likely to pull down the price of this second-largest cryptocurrency rather than help it.
Since the launch of the Bitcoin futures contract, Bitcoin’s price has plummeted and many blamed the use of investment tools to manipulate the market for this decline.

Secondly, Kelly pointed out that the Augur platform was one of the main reasons for Ethereum's rapid growth when compared to Bitcoin.
As described by the analyst, " It’s a decentralized prediction market. What’s interesting about this [is that] this will probably be one of the biggest decentralized apps on top of Ethereum. If [augur] doesn’t slow the system down, that can generally be a positive for Ethereum."

👉3. Proof-of-Stake Protocol
Finally, Ethereum's upgrade from hardware mining to software mining will drive the continued growth of the cryptocurrency.
Ethereum creator - Vitalik Buterin, also recently explained that Ethereum's scalability improvements to the layer solutions will multiply one to another - improving the number of users that the system can handle, which increase the processing capacity of up to 1 million transactions per second.
However, this refers to the fact that Bitcoin and Ethereum are not fully competitive. Upgrading the Ethereum platform is likely to serve more of a rivalry between competitors like EOS, while Bitcoin will remain its top position in transferring and storing value.
