Bitcoin has come a long way and come really come to stay. As a matter of fact, anytime some people who know nothing about bitcoin are introduce to bitcoin about how bitcoin works, they channel all their attention to whoever is passing the information to them by listening attentively. However, after developing the interest in bitcoin, they quickly revert their interest in bitcoin the moment they hear of the volatile nature of bitcoin, thereby, deciding not to invest into it anymore. Guys, what are some other factors that scare people from investing into bitcoin?
I'm quite sure that the major factor is that many people don't really understand how bitcoin works and think it's something very complicated and used by criminals etc...

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

As i see it most likely than not, bitcoins extreme volatility will be the main issue here. Realistically speaking, most investors invest mainly to gain profit. This is why, the so called institutional investors shy away from bitcoin. Who would want to invest on something that is highly known for i'ts price to move substantially from the time they bought it, and up to the time they want to sell in exchange for local currency? Just the risk takers.

Lack of awareness is one of the main reasons for people not to get involved with Bitcoin because they believe the media story without doing their own research and trying to understand what is Bitcoin technology and blockchain and how it works. because I believe if people are going to invest in bitcoin, that person reads the truth of bitcoin and how the blockchain works, that person will fall in love with bitcoin and without a doubt he will invest in bitcoin.

That legal status can make people have the fear to have an investment in bitcoin that can not accept such a big risk if they incur losses. Second, there can be fear because of the very high market turmoil that can not be predicted exactly every day.
I advise you if you want to enter into Bitcoin investments to keep it wise in managing your finances and keep learning and understanding every bit of Bitcoin itself.

Number 1 reason for me is, it's pure on speculation, one bad news and boom, bitcoin drop 5% to 10%. This is where we need real life adoption rather going on speculation and news. Once bitcoin uses in real life cause, its price will be stable and secure.

The main factor is that the bitcoin is fluctuating, meaning that the price can change at any time significantly within seconds. Another factor or risk that is considered during investing in bitcoin is if the price goes down we should keep calm and do not rush to sell the bitcoin you have. ICOs that do not promise profit or do not continue their projects are also the cause behind this all.

There are lots of factors that scare others from investing into bitcoin. Illegal use of bitcoin is one of it, acceptability is not general and lastly it is prone to fraud due to decentralized nature.

Most people are scared by their own unfamiliarity of Bitcoin. Others Factor that is increasingly spreading the news about the hacked market, Volatility, technical difficulties, government and regulator risks, fear of innovative features.  And a lot of negative news are scattered everywhere and some believe it without knowing the real purpose of bitcoin in the society.

The reason why people are afraid to invest in bitcoin. The country where they live doesn't legalize bitcoin and can make them doubt, they fear if bitcoin is lost, then no one is held accountable.

There are several of them and i do think it depends on the state of your government on Btc: as in whether the government has kept mute to btc, has warned against btc investment, legalised or illegalised btc.
Where the government has warned against Btc investment like my country, it is very hard to convince someone to invest.

A few reasons, I think.
Many very negative articles in the media.
Also, people are afraid because bitcoin is not legalized and regulated in many countries.
They don't know how to report possible income from bitcoin.

I think the most influential factor in my country is the amount of media that gives negative news just roughly bitcoin, that's why people have less collective in bitcoin investments. In adviser, low levels of education with append the factor, people who reach not believe about cryptocurrency and the advance will renounce the bitcoin investment because it is considered unstable and definitely risky.

I think many people want to be rich but they don't know how it works. They need spend some time to get knowledge about the structure of the cryptocurrency and market. Only after that you can apply.

Probably, the legal factor as the main reason people are afraid to invest in Bitcoin, because until now in my country Bitcoin also have not obtained official permission as the currency here, and there is much debate between the pros and cons, therefore only some small people alone who dare to invest in Bitcoin, and those are the people I think smart people, who can take advantage of opportunities. Secondly, the factor that people are afraid of investing in Bitcoin is because the price is very volatile, it can go up and down anytime and its changes can be very significant. it is by some people interpreted, that this is a game Bitcoin or Gambling, so for a group does not want to do that. but for people who understand Cryptocurrency, saying this is actually a great opportunity to make a profit.
