without seeing it i accidentally had 3 terminal windows running the same droplet and mining, does that work? they all connected and started mining with 1/3 hash rate. Instead of closing them i just opened new terminal windows and connected to my other 3 droplets. should i keep going or change so 1 terminal runs 1 droplet?

another question, I have 5 droplets, should they be using 5 different workers or the same 1?

Hi,

I've managed to get pool mining working on maxcoinpool.com, running it from a cmd prompt and all is well, I connect with:

minerd -a keccak -o stratum+tcp://maxcoinpool.com:4003 -u meusername.meusername -p password amd it works!

I've just got hold of the Maxcoin QT Wallet for windows and I cant get it to work  . When I put "stratum+tcp://maxcoinpool.com" as the server address the wallet is adding HTTP to the server address as seen in the debug log.

It should look like this: minerd -a keccak -0 stratum+tcp://maxcoinpool.com:4003....

But the wallet qt does this: minerd --algo keccak --scantime 99 --url http://stratum+tcp://maxcoinpool.com....

It seems to be adding http to the front of the server address..... any help would be great as it's doing my head in just a little

How do you change that code so it works with another pool such as Ypool or Maxcoin pool?

The code on those site involve a worker name, not the wallet adress like this?

http://max.1gh.com/ looks DDoS attacked again and my miner cant connect to stratum. Sometimes it connects but after few minutes shows stratum connect failed retry after 30 sec.

No blocks found, stimates without sense and after 6 hours mining and almost 1000 yay!!! i have 0 confirmed and 0 unconfirmed so its seams that i was wasting my time and electricity there.

There is somebody that´s getting payments or atleast confirmed/unconfirmed balance?

Do you know another legit pool?

Ypool dont work for me, im using ubuntu and the miner is just for windows. Maybe somebody can post how to install WINE in ubuntu and setup the ypool miner.

I think they're blocking certain IP's because of the attack, I have just 2 of 7 different IP's left that are still running - all with the same config.

I downloaded the mac wallet app from maxcoin.co.uk
After I got it working it shows my address fro as receiving as mK26x8HwPe2TCVZ1ucksjAt59Ny2m9Xh6m
In my linux terminal on digital ocean I typed:
./maxcoind sendfrom mUkcFzv6cS3zZGiEAdQ9tNUdkhDKwZdpoY mK26x8HwPe2TCVZ1ucksjAt59Ny2m9Xh6m 0.8
and my balance now shows 0.
I also made a payout to mK26x8HwPe2TCVZ1ucksjAt59Ny2m9Xh6m from my http://maxcoinpool.com and my balance went down to zero there.

But on my wallet app on my mac it just shows Balance 0 (out of sync)

Is there something I can do to sync my wallet on my mac to the network? I can't see any option for this.
Have I just thrown away my maxcoins forever?

I think the hash rate is too low to even get an accepted share. Those are very low hash rates.

Compare my Core i5 3570k getting 8000Kh/s or my Radeon R9 290 getting 450,000Kh/s

Hi apollojmr, sure thing. Just let the process run in a separate terminal session using "screen", check the last part of the guide for that.
