The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Yes, thanks for the quick fixes.  "Current NMC Round Shares" is still wrong by the way.

Thanks for the fix.

Current BTC Round Shares   32,088,941

Current NMC Round Shares   30,881,260

This can't be good...

yeah just noticed that after seeing i had such low estimates of payout and looking for a reason.

Oops. I was fixing the estimates and round shares, looks like I missed something.

UPDATE: Yep, I missed a table prefix. All better.

How about you check the actual payout engine because something is wrong no way I had 2gh/s running for 7 hours on it and only got .3 NMC out of the deal, User2525 on the site.

The payout engine uses a different class altogether, it does not use the stats class for payment.

Which pool?

Which pool?

BTC/NMC SMPPS was sued for the miners.

NMC payout on SMPPS is 0.0005317118249520 NMC per share
BTC payout on SMPPS is 0.0000295974556606 BTC per share.

If there is a discrepancy in your payout send me your username and I'll get it sorted. If there is a problem with all SMPPS shares, I'll wipe the slate and rerun the SMPPS calcs.

Already have in first post but here again it is User2525 and there is definitely a problem switched one machine off my normal pool to try the nmcbit and in half an hour on it I already have .1 using their PPS with ~200+ shares submitted that machine being a ~550mh/s one roughly 1/4 of the capacity I had pointed at your pool for 7 hours that got me an additional .3 NMC above the .55 I already had from my previous attempt at it on yours.

Edit: BTW it would be nice to see these rates you mentioned displayed on your site along with explanation of the pool options I can find neither there now.

There was an error in SMPPS nmc rewards, I have wiped them and they will be corrected shortly.

Additionally, those rates and share counts are displayed on the stats page for BTC/NMC SMPPS.

UPDATE: All NMC SMPPS rewards have been corrected. If you see any issues with your rewards, please let me know.

magico bump!

strange, not sure if it is a problem.

i was mining btc / nmc prop. but received GG and NMC. i am not really interested in GG and wasnt expecting them. However, I am showing a negative balance for BTC of -2.7755575615628914e-17.

what this about?

Not sure, send me your username and I'll investigate.

Looks like a miniscule corrected error, the issue should be fixed for all who had the issue.

It looks as if slush has been playing with merged mining and has managed to find a BTC block with the existing tools.

Bitcoin block: http://blockexplorer.com/block/000000000000012542736b4489474836ca3cc2d7e42ecd37d003d4b160bc7470
Namecoin block: http://explorer.dot-bit.org/b/19274

Hopefully this will give miners more confidence that merged mining works.

Lol.  My landlord wanted to do this with my room a little while back but I resisted.

It's a shame to be without your hashing power, it makes a significant difference.  I'm sure you'll be dismayed at the drop to 0 on your monthly hashrate graph.  Fortunately for the PPLNS pool a new user, trasp, is keeping the pool above 10 GH/s.

I'm glad to see your hashing power back online mike and that all the pools look healthy.

With the merged mining software and the multi coin framework, how much capacity do you think your servers have in terms of GH/s or workers?  I've seen some of the merged mining pools have somewhat restrictive capacity limits and was wondering if this was a competitive advantage of simplecoin (at least until slush brings merged mining to his pool).

The pool should hold easily without additional servers or changes up to 250-500GH or so. That said, once I have my poolserverJ mods and multicoin client changes up, I should be able to scale to Deepbit size just by turning on new servers.

The current load average of the main pool server sits around 0.05, maxes around .3, on an 8 core Xeon, RAID 10 server. That's a whole lot of headroom for more miners.

Yeah.  I just checked again to see the PPLNS pool up 24.583 GH/s!  This is an average of one Namecoin block every 4 hours and 33 mins.  The proportional pool is doing even better!

Now that slush's pool offers merged mining people may head there for the low variance but simplecoin.us is still a little attractive since the proportional pool is (BTC + 2%, NMC) and the PPLNS pool is (BTC + 2%, NMC + 10%) whereas slush's (proportional) is (BTC - 2%, NMC - 2%).  Perhaps miners will considering splitting their resources between slush and simplecoin.us

It would at least be great to test out simplecoin's theoretical scalability.

He usally will let us know after he fixes it. Lets hope its not a hardware issue. Its one of the few pools with all these options and he is one man so it might take some time.
