Is the SMPPS pool buffer listed somewhere?

No, not currently. Only in the admin panel.

The current buffer is 48.2btc. Which is nice considering we ran up to a 200btc deficit at one point.

Orphaned BTC block? I thought that was a myth in BTC at this point. Anyway, Is that est. balance (and the NMC estimated for that matter) going to be there forever?

I pretty much is, but there was one. The first we've seen on the pool.

I don't understand the 2nd part of your question.....

The last btc prop block found was on 2012-01-03 09:22:02 AM. if you were mining before that time you should have received some BTC otherwise that is accurate not to earn any. If the prop pool gets a block and you are the dominate hasher you should receive a pretty big sum.

mike chime in if i got this wrong

Yep, had to reboot server. Java just loves hanging up.

I'm thinking of some big changes to the server too..... Should help performance...

Maybe one pool type for merged mining... Hybrid PPS/SMPPS. thoughts?

I was kinda thinking that now that the months have pasted and we are not getting those 100 of hashes. the btc prop will get maybe 1 or 2 blocks a quarter. i like pplns. what type of scoring did you have in mind?

Ditch Prop & SMPPS (possibly pplns). 0% PPS whenever there is a new buffer, SMPPS when there is not.

he is the man with the fans, so I would defer to hmblm1245 anyway, but my .7 agrees.

ppln

I will go do some recruiting on the [H]

the old thread there has seen some activity lately

I think the p2pool movement is taking a lot of the potential small pool contributors, not a bad thing in itself, I am pro decentralization.

I read somewhere there was a way to plug small pools into p2pool as a "node"? any possibility of that?

It wouldn't be hard to implement, but the performance of p2pool was lacking when I looked into it.

it may be worth another look, I have read threads saying it has come a long way

edit

ok, I posted a plug and PMed Lorien over at [H]

Much appreciated!

Just an update: I will be removing GG & TBX pools at the beginning of February. There is rarely activity, and I'd prefer to concentrate on btc/nmc pool performance.

Hi.
I used simplecoin.us for a while, but I don't satisfied how my BTC and NMC counters works. 9 days I had only "Estimate" growing, while mining of course, but apropriate "Unconfirmed" and "Balance" was 0 all the time. And only yesterday I notice some estimate->unconfirmed->balance movement.
Now I have 5 NMC and 5 BTC in "Estimate" column slowly decreasing (I have turned off mining with simplecoin) and again all counters in "Unconfirmed" column are 0. I just want instant payout. What should I do?
Sorry for my English.
